I'm Losing It ~

Well . . .  actually I lost it.  I wanted to take my 1890 Rooster Rug to guild yesterday for show and tell.  I can't find it.  I mean I have looked everywhere at least twice.  My last hope was that I took it to the junk journal class a couple weeks ago and forgot it there.  Nope.  WTH???

I have made some progress on Rudie.  Now remember, he is pretty small 😁

Tomorrow a friend and I signed up for a needle felting class at a quilt shop.  Now mind you, I took a little felting class last year and didn't care much for the process, but what the heck.  This time I may decide it's another rabbit hole I can fall down in ~ NOT!

Saturday is a junk journaling class.  We have been having so much fun we will now be meeting twice a month.  I still haven't a clue what I am doing but spending too much time accomplishing little.  Here are a few more pages I have done.  Completed?  Not sure because I keep adding things.

My dining room table.  This junk journaling is messy, or maybe it is just me.

Note to self . . . before putting hands in a strong coffee dye solution . . . PUT ON GLOVES!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊|

It's my opinion any craft we get involved in is messy. Looks like you stuck your fingers in an ink pad. Hope you find your roosters soon. Did you take to to Fritz's?

I'm wondering if you gave your rooster rug as a last-minute Christmas gift and forgot about it. It wouldn't surprise me as you are so generous. Many times I think I've lost something and then I remember that I gave it away to an admirer. lol...

I know that junk journaling isn't for me but I admire your work. It looks great. You really got the knack of putting it together.

Seeing your coffee-stained fingers made me laugh. You can always suck your finger to get your fix of caffeine, lol...

It feels like a gorgeous spring day here today. Tale care, Hugs.

Your journal looks so neat ! Love all the nice bits & pieces , pretty ! Sometimes it is just nice to do something other than hooking for a break . I am trying to teach myself crochet . My 2 older grand daughters want to learn ....so far they have made a very , very long chain !!! LOL

Well, what the heck?? Unfortunately, I know the feeling. Cathy wanted me to bring a few of my punched pieces to the workshop last week. I looked, and looked, but still haven't found 2 of the larger mats I did and was going to bring. But, hey...at least they are a bit smaller than the roosters rug. Hope it turns up soon. I am absolutely loving your journal. You really have an eye for it. Can't wait to see what you felt. Cathy and I were just talking about felting...I haven't done any in a long, long, time. Mostly because my cats seem to have a "thing" for anything felted and they go MIA. ~Robin~

Sounds familiar….the rooster rug dilemma! When I decorate for Christmas I’m always putting items away & then come January, I have no idea where they are! Always drives me crazy until I find them! Hope you find it soon!

I hope the rooster rug shows up soon. I hate when too much of my brain space is taken up by background "where did I put..." thinking when I lose something.

No, it's not just you, IMHO all creative projects make a mess. I like your journals, and confess I am glad I've not found it (the hobby, not your work!) appealing enough to take up the hobby myself. I'm quite happy to enjoy what other people make.

I wonder if there's a way to use needle felting on rugs? Wool on wool, I'd think it could be done. Add small highlights and shadows, tweak a color, etc.

Love your journals. It must be difficult to choose snippets with all the options. My missing Lizzie is a lot smaller than your rug so I don't feel quite as bad about losing her. They are strutting their loops somewhere!! Hope they come home.

Yikes I hope you find your rug!
Your journal looks great. I did not much like needle felting either but love seeing the end results kind of like quilting for me.

When you say losing it, that implies you haven't lost it already. Your marbles that is, not the rug!
JK my friend. I have no doubt it will turn up. Probably in the freezer.

You make me smile: loosing things, messy work area stained hands. Perfectly describes me. I’m so glad to have a kindred spirit.

Hope you found your rug and hoping needle felt class was better for you. Hopefully you will learn your lesson on wearing gloves when dying. Janice

The roosters have flown?! I sure hope you find it,
What in the world?
Sweet journals! What creativity… I’m one to jump into
a project without adequate prep too. It’s my personality.
My fingers would look like yours but job done.

I love collecting {hoarding} papers & other 'things' for making journals...I won't call them 'junk' tho, because to me they are more recycled treasures!! ~ i hate wearing gloves for anything, so my hands are also stained and a mess...you're in good company ;)
did you put your roosters in the trunk of the car? I don't know why I thought of that, but hey...ya never know.
