On the Hooking Horizon ~

Ezra's Farm is nearing completion.  I am struggling on this last "block".  Wool choices???  Working on figuring it all out!

So what do I do?  Start a quick little bunny mat to gift my sister-in-law since she always cooks on Easter.  I hooked this one for me a couple years ago.

In just over a week, I will be heading to Pennsylvania for a hooking class.  More on that later, but before I go, I WILL have Ezra's Farm hooked and hopefully the bunny mat, too.  And another hooked mat I need to work on is the "teapot challenge".  Our guild decided on doing a challenge that will be displayed at the rug show at Sauder Village during rug hooking week in August.  I have had the pattern on linen for many months . . . and need to git 'er done soon (though I have until June!).  The size needs to be 16" x 16" and the spout and handle must remain.  Those are the only rules!  So far, we have had a couple florals, one hooked like a Polish pottery piece, an animal and a snowman.

Just a few days after returning from class, I will be heading to southern Ohio for a two day hook in.  No hooking events for many months and then two in less than two weeks!

We have had a couple spring-like days and the early bloomers have exploded.

Then tomorrow snow.  Welcome to Ohio.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Little Finishes ~

Happy Monday, dear friends.  Thank you for taking the time to visit.  This morning I was sure it was Tuesday.  Do you have that problem, too, knowing what day it is?

Just a little post to share two finishes.  The first is another little Valentine freebie . . .

. . . and the second is "True Hearts", a small pattern (11 1/2" x 15 1/2") by Terri Leamer that can be found here.  If you've never visited Terri's etsy shop, she really has many sweet patterns.

Happy 101st birthday to my mom in heaven.  I like to believe she is smiling down on me 💓

Again, thanks so much for stopping by.

Winter Cottage Studio ~

Are you familiar with WinterCottageStudio on etsy?  Terri offers so many wonderful rug hooking patterns in her shop.  I love that she offers them as a PDF, as a mailed pattern or on linen.  Her style is so naive and primitive.  She is easy to work with and so accommodating.  The pattern I was interested in, True Hearts, was not listed as a PDF, but she added it for me.  Hopefully it will be on my frame in the next couple of days.  I've transferred it to linen, but haven't chosen my wools.  I love her version in browns/blues, but not sure if I want mine more neutral.

I've hooked her Pussywillow and Robin ~

~ and also Horse.  Molly always wants in on the picture.

Color is more true in the picture with Molly.

You must stop by and check out Jonah and the Whale (Kim, didn't you hook that?) and a new pattern, Jack's Crow (which I also purchased).  I bet you will find a pattern or two you can't live without!  She has so many to choose from.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
