Here Comes Santa Claus ~

The big day is approaching much too quickly.  I am pretty much ready, but wish I had more time to sit back and enjoy.  Somehow I have frittered more than half the day away and am just not sure what happened to it.

For those of you with good memories, you can just skip this post.  I pretty much decorate the same every year.

Blow mold Santa ~

Painted gourd (not by me!) ~

Santa tree ~

Celluloid Santa and reindeer ~

Egg crate and papier mache Santas ~

More celluloid ~

Cotton batting Santas - all but one vintage ~

Chenille Santa ~

Papier mache Santa and hard plastic Santas and reindeer ~

Let's just say there are MANY more Santas.  I guess you could say I am Santa obsessed.

Well, the saga of my Christmas packages with USPS continues, and I know I am not alone.  The box to Florida arrived after 11 days.  The 4 packages mailed last Monday have not gotten far.  The only information on the tracking site is that they are "in transit, arriving late".  Fingers crossed that they will somehow arrive before Christmas.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

My favorite of your Santa collection is the delicate chenille Santa. Must admit that while looking for something in the attic and opened up a plastic tote I found what appeared to be a lot of Christmas items like Santas. Since its been so many years since I've decorated wonder what treasures are in there. Hmmmm, maybe I'll venture there next year 'cuz I'm not doing it just 5 days before Christmas only to put them all back in the attic.

Holy Santas Girl!!!!!! I know I have seen some of your collection before, but I put them out of mind from year to year...methinks so the green-eyed monster won't feed on me all throughout the year. Schnikies!!! I.AM.JEALOUS!!! I'm trying to entice Janice into a road trip robbery scheme...but am having a difficult time isolating just which ones are going in my bag first.... I think those two incredible "egg crate" Santas in the back there....and I will probably wipe out ALL of your cotton batting ones. How do you find all those???? I know you've been collecting for a long time, but still.... I used to shop quite a bit...and I never, ever, see them....and if I do, they tend to be somewhat "gross" if you know what I mean LOL. And spill...which one ISN'T vintage??? I have to admit I am not quite sure. Yikes...think I may be losing my "touch" LOL. Enjoy your treasures and wonderfully decorated home. You have almost a week!! Me, I'd just rather be done with it all. ~Robin~

I spy my missing egg carton Santa. LOL Still have not found mine. I also spot more Santa's I would like too! Just found out a friend of mine scored on a 5 foot feather complete with all antique cotton spun Santa's. I am green with envy at her now. I am with Robin on the burglary heist of yours...she dont have to entice me for long. Am ready to gooooo. LOL Janice

It's always a joy to come see all your Santas and Christmas decorations every year and I never get tired of it. A personal tour would be even better but I'm thankful for just glimpses of your Christmas treasures. Most of my ornaments are gifts and when I pass on, they will hopefully go back to their donors.

It looks like you've been warned, lol... Better lock all your doors and don't let any suspicious travelers in, lol.

Take care, keep safe from Covid and burglars.
Hugs, Julia

Merry Christmas my friend.

Good morning, Lauren. You have such a great collection of Santas. I'm another fan that loves your rugs. I was talking to my son last night and he mentioned that one of his favorite ceramic artists has started to do "pulled wool" wall hangings. It sounds a lot like rug hooking. LOL I love that art is art. I hope that you and your family have an amazing Christmas. I

So tell me, what is an egg crate Santa? I asked Google who didn’t have a clue.

I have to laugh at the feet on the angel on top of your Santa Tree! Those are some cute and funny feet. And the expressions of the celluloid reindeer! I love the simple, naive joy of early ornaments. And that blow mold Santa is FESTIVE!
