A few snowman ornaments. I think next year I may try for an "all snowman" tree.

I don't put much outside, but do have a couple things to share.
You know you are having a mild December when you find this in your yard on December 22.
Years ago I took a couple different painting classes. The teachers knew how to paint but they did not know how to teach. Tomorrow I am teaching a friend and her friend to hook. I can hook, but can I teach? I sure hope so!
Woo hoo. Today is the winter solstice. Tomorrow the daylight hours start getting longer. I'm doing a happy dance.

Fun Snowman collection !!!! Some looked very familiar , we had a few of those when I was growing up ! Flowers growing !!!! Has been cold here in New England , but the nice blanket of snow we got last Thursday could all be washed away Cmas Eve with temps in the 60's & rain . No sledding or playing in the snow .

It is a bit cooler here than normal for December. That being said, it is only moderately cold. 20s and 30s at night, but low 60s to high 50s in the day. I have a rose on my arbor that is still blooming. Love your snowmen. Doesn’t look as though you will have a problem filling a tree. Good luck on your lessons.

We still have lots of snow on the ground and the rain is coming in late christmas eve what a mess!

If you don't have enough snowmen for an all snowman tree, I have some to spare. I usually put my snowmen out after Christmas and call it my "winter" decorating--we get very little snow in Nashville and winters are mild. You will do great with teaching hooking
I love your snowmen collection and you sure have a nice way of displaying them. I lost most of mine in the last flood but as I'm getting older, I find it doesn't matter anymore.
We are having some mild weather but we have had some very cold weather also. We had a sprinkling of snow but the announce some rain my son said. I've been too busy to even check the weather.
I'm sure you will be a good rug hooking teacher. Take care and stay safe.

The Winter solstice is always bittersweet for me. I love that the days will get longer now, but it was the day my dad passed away. What a fun collection of snowmen you have. I may to think about doing a collection of them myself. Janice
My friend Deb tried teaching a couple women in her church group how to hook. Let's say I hope you have a more pleasant time than she did. Perhaps I should have not posted this until after your first class, lol. Love the snowman pillow. Cannot imagine having to put all those decorations away in just a week's time then put your house back together again.
Is is ok to use "Schnikies" in two comments on your blog within a week's time??? I don't care....Holy Schnikies!!! I don't remember you having all of these snowfolk!!! I love them all!!! I am not a snowman "collector" per se, but some have gravitated to me over the years and I usually have the majority of them grouped together on my entry cupboard...and the chicken cage above. But none are as cool as yours (well, except maybe my pulp (what you call "egg carton") ones...but I only have 2 of them. And seriously...can't believe things are blooming there. It's been strange weather this year. We will have a white Christmas...but barely. One of the rarest of years...but even so, nothing would be growing. Our "high" on Christmas Eve is supposed to be 5. Yes, the high. Grrr.... Good luck with your class tomorrow!!! What a fun way for your pupils to spend Christmas Eve Eve day... (??....you know what I'm saying LOL). I am sure you will be a great teacher...and if not, I KNOW it will still be fun. ~Robin~

Your Santa tree. (sigh) I'm sorry I didn't get more ornaments and such out when I see your posts, too late, too old. Next year maybe. But I'll be older. Amazes me every year how many pieces you've acquired over the years. You really need to contact a magazine to share them. Merry Christmas Lauren and family!!
What a festival of snowfolk. Hard to choose but I think the 1940's looking snowman with the mushroom scene in the snowglobe tummy is my favorite.
