So Sorry but I MUST Vent ~

I am so ticked I am ready to spit nails :(  I mailed a Priority Mail package on Saturday to Greenwood, IN, a six hour drive from me.  Expected delivery was Monday.  Now the recipient was leaving town today (Thursday) and the package needed to be there before.  A two day cushion.  Well . . . the package arrived in Greenwood yesterday (Wednesday) from Indianapolis.  Today, the package was sent BACK TO INDIANAPOLIS.  WTH???  Stopped at the local post office and got no answers.  Tried calling USPS and the wait time to speak with someone was 35-53 minutes (and that was about 10 minutes after finally getting to that option).  Tried an email but they must have a problem with their site because I could enter some information and not get to the next page.  The post office really let me down.  That package needed to arrive before today.  Thanks for listening.  Rant over.

Now for the iPad issues.  Went to Best Buy and I thought the issues were resolved, but only partly.  Rose (Three Sheep Studio) suggested I change browsers but need to wait for tech help (DSO) since I don't know how to do it on the tablet.  If that doesn't work, back to Best Buy or the Apple Store.

On a happier note, I have a houseguest for a few days.  DSO flew to the EAA AirVenture in OshKosh, WI, for a few days.  I just love the way she sticks her little butt in the air when she has her morning dental treat.

Thanks so much for stopping by . . . and thanks for letting me rant.  I promise the next post will be more upbeat.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

I think sometimes mail goes to TimBuckToo & Alaska & visits Hawaii & then if you are lucky it comes back to you !!! It always happens when you need it there by a certain day . When mailmen go on vacation , funny things happen too .

Your little house guest looks cute ! Good luck with your Ipad !

the post office is getting worse by the minute.my friend who does testing to certify nurses in the state, priority mailed a pack of tests, insured, signed for etc that had to go only 2 hrs away it was 10 days before they found them they went to Chicago when they didn't need to go out of state. at one point the post office said have them take the tests again yikes!!!!
And just recently I have lost 2 checks never to be found again.

That is just life and mailing packages. When I was mailing packages, I just remember those same kinds of issues. Gosh what worry. I am so sorry you had to experience that. I just love that picture. What a sweet dog she is, I bet its so nice having that sweet little house guest.
Have a lovely day.

You can rant all you want to. It helps lower the blood pressure.

Have had my share of disastrous issues with USPS also. So totally approve of the rant, as Jacqueline says.....it helps lower the BP and throwing in a few expletives helps even more.

I love to hear rants. We all have them and feel better when we know someone else is having them!

Can I rant too? About a week and 1/2 ago was the delivery date for my daughter's baby shower invitations (my very first grandchild). I ordered them on Etsy, they were a special order but the seller got them made up and she rushed them to me. They had to get out to our guests by the delivery date so the RSVP's could be responded to. I get a message they were delivered. I run to the mailbox - not there, check all around my doors - not there. I message the seller, she said, ask your neighbors if they got it by mistake. I call USPS, wait time is 35-55 minutes. I put my brother in law on the phone to hold while I run & check w/all the neighbors. No luck. I come back & brother in law gives me a phone number to the post office, that's what USPS gave him after holding for an hour. I call, the number doesn't work. I call my little local post office & this nice young man give me the longitude & latitude of where my invitations were delivered to - he thinks it's the summer camp about 2 miles away. I drive down there, explain to this woman frantically that I think she has my invitations. She goes down the path to the campers rec building & there they were. USPS is the pits. Rant over!

Hi Lauren....It seems it's always the package you NEED to get there is the one that gets misdirected! We've had that happen a few times...and eventually it does get delivered....but not the time promised. I think 3 weeks was the longest it's taken....
Your house guest is a real sweetie pie!!! :-)

Oh dear Lauren, your rant is very valid. We all love a rant.
I don't send many packages except for the grandkids' birthdays and I always get a tracking number but I use the Canada Post and so far I haven't had any problems. But I remember when I ordered my hooking frame from Gene Shepherd , it was sent back to Texas and I waited forever for it. After contacting him in California, he found out Custom sent it back because of some perverted wording like "hooking". It must have offended someone at Custom...
I finally got my frame and they waved the extra cost of shipping.

I love that little Ernestine. So cute.
Hugs, Julia

I am having the same issue, Lauren...I purchased some paper from Etsy over a week ago...paid priority...the seller sent it out the very next day...delivery was supposed to be last Friday....a week later, according to the tracking number...it has been all over the northern United States! Now...the stupid USPS can't find the damn thing....FURIOUS!!! You pay all this money for "priority" and all they do is totally screw things up!! THis is about the fourth incident I've had with them! I wish there was another way to mail things....

Seems to me it's exactly when a package needs to be somewhere by a certain time that things go wrong. How frustrating! Frustrating on the ipad too. Ugh! Hope you get the ipad working for you.
