On the Frame ~

I finally put a small pattern on the frame.  Only 13" x 16", it is a pattern by Cammie Bruce.  To my knowledge, she has not reopened her business.  Has anyone heard if she has?  She has many fun patterns.  Once again I am sharing the wonderful plaid wools I am using.

Crazy Ohio weather.  We went from the 80's two days ago to chilly once again.  I still had some firewood in the house so I built a fire this evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

I love those plaids and how they look when hooked. This little rug should be done in no time.
I got a little more hooking done this evening with our hooking Nights Matters group. I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. I've been so busy planting seeds and transplanting seedlings that I didn't pull a single loop last week.

We don't live in Ohio but we seem to get the same kind of flip flop weather as you. I also lit the woodstove this evening to get the chill out of the house before going to my hooking group.

Love the crazy play on words.

Take care, hugs,
Julia

I had a class with Cammie a few years ago and she was fun. I thought I knew about "Primitives" but she offered a short class for those who wished to take it and she showed us photos of rugs and asked if it was primitive or not. Boy what a wake up call it was.
To finally answer your question, I don't know if she is still teaching and I miss her blog.
OMG, no wonder people have problems with the English language, lol.

Such pretty plaids. We are having crazy weather here too it seems. Mother Nature has been giving us an April Fool's joke all month. The English language is the hardest to learn, and I see why. Janice

Plaids bring so much to a hooked piece.
English you have to admire anyone who masters it as a second language

And it gets worse when you need to keep in mind just which English is being used. American, British, Australian? I admire those who come here and learn it, especially as adults.

We've got the wild weather swings here in Iowa as well. The only consistent thing seems to be it's usually very windy no matter the temperature or if it's raining or sunny.

So who makes words and how they are spelled?

Gorgeous colors in those plaids. We need wool here today, 30's!

Oooooo....that blue plaid is positively dreamy. I've been having a "thing" for plaids lately...not that I actually HOOK with them, but I've picked up a couple small pieces because I like to pretend. Did I know you had a fireplace?? Must be a pretty cool one given the vintage of your house. Yeah, you gotta shake your head at the English language...I agree with Cathy about those who master it as a second language. Some people were impressed that I spoke English, Spanish and French and had a quasi-passing reading ability with Portuguese...but I always was most impressed with those who learned English. Those other languages are so intuitive by comparison. And there is absolutely no word you cannot mispronounce in Spanish...seriously. ~Robin~

Beautiful little rug. It is such a shame that so many have closed up business.

I love that little mat and those scrumptious plaids, especially the blue. Are they new?? I still have a couple of Cammie’s patterns in my stash. A real shame she isn’t selling them any more. Wonder what happened to her. It was chilly here a couple of days ago. Heat in the morning and air conditioning in the evening. Crazy. Have been able to get a fair amount of yard work done, and Blake is getting the garden in. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Cammie contacted me last week on FB and asked me what pattern(s) I wanted but I couldn’t tell her as I need to look at her patterns!
