My Flock ~

Gobble, Gobble.  I'm not sure how I amassed so many turkeys but they are a fun collectible.  These are all in my dining room.  My dining room is not large, but there are 3 antique cupboards.

On the pie safe . . .

Papier mache turkeys on the stepback . . .

Wax turkeys on the jelly cupboard . . .

My mom did beautiful ceramic work.  The turkey with babies is one of my absolute favorite pieces 💖

I leave you with a laugh . . .

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

What a varied and beautiful flock! I think I am most amazed by the wax turkeys, what an olden art and how incredible that they hold up, just being wax!

Love your turkeys. I have a set of Turkey salt and pepper shakers that my mom brought me from Williamsburg. Since I'm in the middle of moving I didn't get them out. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃

Don't think I've ever seen your flock before. You sure have many, many collections. That was a funny quip.

You have quite a large collection of turkeys. I love the ceramic turkey your mom painted. It's a great reminder of her at this time of year and I'm sure she is smiling from up there.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs, Julia

Love your beautiful antiques & pretty Turkey displays !
We will have a quiet Turkey Day , but think you will get a chuckle out of this little story ...
My daughter is an essential worker & a vegetarian ....so her husband took their 2 children to the Food Co-op they belong to to buy a roasted chicken for their dinner tomorrow ....when the 3 year old & 7 year old saw those ,they screamed we can't eat that !!!! They want peanut butter & jelly sandwiches !!! They actually will have some fresh fish instead !!! When my daughter was in kindergarten they made such a big deal out of Tom Turkey that's what she had for dinner that year !!!
Have a nice relaxing Thanksgiving !!!

Yet another great collection!!! And how special to have your mom’s sweet piece among them. I love that stuffed turkey on your pie safe. Beautiful samplers as well. Maybe you could share them sometime. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Ok....I am totally gobsmacked..... You, GT, definitely get the turkey award. And I mean for your collection. ;-) Wowsers....I know I saw some of them before, but don't recall ALL these. The ones I love he best are the papier mache ones, And ya know? In all my years of collecting (and I have collected and searched out some mighty odd things as you know), I have never ever saw a papier mache turkey in person. Strange, huh?? I do still have a box of Thanksgiving stuff somewhere...I know I got it reduced to 1 box (or was it 2??? In any event, amazing), but it was all kitschy stuff.... Nothing cool like your turkeys. Hoping your turkey day is blessed, and your turkey (the one on the table) juicy. ~Robin~

You have quite the collection oc turkeys. I will miss hitting the antique thrifts this year, but not worth the risk if I can do without. Lucky for me, weekends look nice again, so I am happy getting out and going for hikes.
