Teacher Rugs ~

Katie Hartner of the Woolley Fox was truly a wonderful teacher.  One of the best!  So many teachers are there to color plan a rug and little to no teaching is done.  Each day Katie covered a topic for us.

Here are a few of the rugs she shared.  There were many more I did not get pictures of.  This rug was gorgeous!!!  I always love a patriotic rug.  So very sorry for the washed out colors.

Close ups . . .
Part of the flag canton's blue had faded to a totally different shade.

This rug had a proddy edge.

And the backside showing how it was bound.

Katie teaches an online values class that I have heard is a great learning experience.  She is big on using leftover worms in your project.  Here are some of the pattern choices for the class.  (The carpet in the room was a bit on the hideous side!)

Head on over to Sue's blog to see the rugs being hooked in class.

Time to finish packing!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

What a wonderful rug show. Keep that patriotic triptych rug in mind, particularly the Eagle. I've hooked the heart in a single and my plans are to do the Eagle.

Looks like you had a great class! Yes, Katie is a wonderful teacher with a personality to match! Her classes are so informative & she has awesome finished rugs with details to show you. I have been fortunate to take her online class & also be in an “in person” class. Hmmm…I think I’m ready for another class with her!
Finishing packing up this morning & heading out to set up for our Spring Fling!
See you soon!

I saw Katie's amazing Patriotic Flag rug ....weren't the colors so pretty faded out ! Looking at all her rugs up close , was amazing all the little bits & pieces of colors and how they all blended in so nicely . I have been trying to do that ...sometimes it works great , but it can fail too ...LOL We did her chair pads , was fun to see how each of us did them so differently .

Cool rugs and chair pads! I like the floral's unique finish. Glad you enjoyed the class and hope you're having an equally good time with your current outing. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! (Again! ;-) )
