Getting out of Dodge ~

Vernon Junction Sue and I are running away this Friday to a three day hooking class east of Pittsburgh.  It is a class with Katie Hartner of the Woolley Fox.  I thought I was good picking a pattern from my stash after being inspired by Kim's (My Field of Dreams) version of her whale.  I have had this pattern for years and thought this was the perfect opportunity to hook it.

That is until I stumbled upon this pattern on a Facebook selling site and thought it would be a lot more fun to hook.  So much for being thrifty and not buying a pattern!  It is a pattern by Hooked on the Lake titled Primitive Chickens.  It is 12" x 36".

Less than a week ago I picked some daffodils that were maybe 4" tall.  I am always amazed how much and how quickly they grow in the house.  They are now 8"-9" tall.  A bit of spring!

A funny little story to tell.  My younger son turned 44 today and I sent him a text asking how did that happen.  His response . . . "You never got that abortion you were threatening" because when he was in his late teens I threatened both him and his brother with a VERY late term abortion 😁😁😁

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

I was amazed yesterday that those green stems of daffodils I'd posted on my blog had full blooms on a few. So guess spring is really near.
Am sure you will have fun and please be sure to take lots of photos. Where will you gals stay?
