So what do I do? Start a quick little bunny mat to gift my sister-in-law since she always cooks on Easter. I hooked this one for me a couple years ago.
In just over a week, I will be heading to Pennsylvania for a hooking class. More on that later, but before I go, I WILL have Ezra's Farm hooked and hopefully the bunny mat, too. And another hooked mat I need to work on is the "teapot challenge". Our guild decided on doing a challenge that will be displayed at the rug show at Sauder Village during rug hooking week in August. I have had the pattern on linen for many months . . . and need to git 'er done soon (though I have until June!). The size needs to be 16" x 16" and the spout and handle must remain. Those are the only rules! So far, we have had a couple florals, one hooked like a Polish pottery piece, an animal and a snowman.
Just a few days after returning from class, I will be heading to southern Ohio for a two day hook in. No hooking events for many months and then two in less than two weeks!
We have had a couple spring-like days and the early bloomers have exploded.
Then tomorrow snow. Welcome to Ohio.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

Couldn't understand why I thought you were closer to done with Ezra. Then scrolled down to your previous post and noticed the top half of the pattern was turned under or at least not in view. Sweet prim bunny and looking forward to seeing it finished as well at the 'teapot, short and stout ..."
SNOW??? You can keep it there!
How nice to see flowers blooming. I have mud! Everywhere.
So far your color choices are beautiful for the piece. I always sat pieces aside and just looked at them and thought of how colors would look. Sounds like some fun hook ins coming up. We have rain as usual, but warmer temps coming next week.
Ok...show us again the bunny you hooked for yourself. I don't remember but this one looks adorable. (And, BTW, I'll cook for you for Easter too if you hook me a bunny mat. ;-) How fun to have two hooking outings to look forward to. I just have my one and only down the road once a year... I can't believe you have spring blooms already. We hadn't lost our snowcover completely yet and today we got hit with a nasty winter storm. It rained buckets last night...then turned to snow. And holy wind...and, of course, that means drifts. LOTS of drifts. ~Robin~ (Can't wait to see what you do with the teapot challenge!)
Our backyard is getting muddy. Tundra does not even want to go out there right now and I dont blame him. Rain all day yesterday and now back to snow. UGH The teapot rug will be interesting on how you hook it. I do see a floral design or stripes, or even both. Have fun in PA. Janice
What a fun guild hooking idea. I love the fat round teapot. My once a year hook in is this Saturday and I'm looking forward to it. Nice to have 2 hooking events to look forward to. I'd love to take a class one day. Enjoy your signs of spring they are lovely.
We are so far from flowers it makes me want them all the more seeing yours.
Your rugs look great. Enjoy your class. I have a couple of things in April and then nothing until October and november

What fun to be able to live close enough to go a rug hooking. I really do enjoy seeing your gorgeous hooking. We have had rain. At least it isn't snow. Have a wonderful day.
