Hooking Room Tour ~

My hooking room is the third bedroom in my home.  It is not that large a room, but I have 6 antique cupboards, a hanging cupboard, antique table and an old tool box that is used as a coffee table in front of the Chippendale style sofa (in desperate need of recovering).  I am most comfortable hooking here.  I know I have shared some pictures in the distant past, and since I recently did some serious cleaning in there, I thought I would share once again.

A few of the rugs I have hanging.  Patterns by Star Rug Company, the Woolley Fox and Heavens to Betsy.

My collection of vintage rug hooks and some sewing collectibles.  Funky chicken made in a class with Annette Shaffer.

Pie safe minus its doors.  (Purchased without the doors.)

Sewing collectibles and many gifts made by friends.

Cupboard made from old wood.  A gift from dear friend Bobbie.  Antique toy sewing machines.  Paper mache boxes won from Marly of Samplers and Santas fame.  Antique sampler hanging below.

It hangs above this little cupboard.

Top of the cupboard.

To the left of the little cupboard is another filled with wool.

On top of the above cupboard.

Another pie safe . . . also full of wool, wool yarn and miscellaneous supplies.  Sewing pocket made by Melinda Cole and little pug quilt by Gayle of the Middle Sister.

My collection of putz sheep.

Little mohair animals made by Lanna Omlor (sister of Lori Ann Corelis) and a mouse by Primdollie Koch.

Stay tuned for part two.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Your room is wonderful, love how you have so much wool stored. I seem to have less in spaces and I need to put more in less space, lol. The collectibles make the room nice and cozy for working in.

What a great tour! Lucky it was a virtual tour and not one in person, or you would have a trail of drool throughout your room....As if I had forgotten we were twins, this reminds me again why....so many “similars” and so many “loves”....we definitely have the same taste... You’re much tidier and more organized than I am though. (Surprise, surprise....) I am not, however, buying that the room is “not that big”... ahem....any room you can put 6 antique cupboards, a hanging cupboard, and a couch in (plus have wall space for rug display) is definitely LARGE in my book. Love so many things, but that cat and mouse rug is one of my all-time favorites. Looking forward to Part 2. ET

Loved the tour and envious of your organization of such great collections and your wool stash. The funky chicken really stood out and I like it a lot, had forgotten you showed us one before but was nice to see it again. Is that chicken rug on the wall a design by Lori?

Part two? There's more? Good gracious I could never fit that much into any of my unused bedrooms. Would love to try though. You really have such nice collections and also antique pieces to display them.

Your collectibles make me green with envy. It is also lovely to see that you have no interest in the minimalist movement...lol.
