My third rug start for the month of October was Triple Crown Winner Pearl and Earl by Lucille Festa of American Country Rugs. Started in a class with Kris Miller, the rug measures 20" x 34". I was hoping to have more hooked before sharing. Wasn't meant to be but I'm happy with the results so far :)
I've three rugs in progress which is not something I normally do. For me to be working on even two rugs is unusual and I will be starting one more very soon. One last Christmas gift needs to be hooked. Can you believe Thanksgiving is in 2 1/2 weeks? I love that it is early ~ more time to get ready for Christmas since I do not start any decorating until after turkey day.
Today's weather in northern Ohio is the best it has been in several weeks. I've gotten a few outside chores done and need to do a few more. Got my lawn mowed, too. So much easier to mulch the leaves rather than rake them. That darn yard guy never shows up . . . sigh. Maybe in my next life :)
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

I love this rug already and your colors are always so well chosen. I'm still not in a hooking mood. I had a day from hell today so I'm just getting settled at my computer. My little pizza is ready for supper and it's 9:00pm.
I have no yard work done at all this fall and It's been raining and raining. Finally, the rain has stopped and then a huge wind came all night and we were without power since last night until around 4:00pm today.

3 rugs. Good for you! Love the colors you chose for this one. Temps here have been unusually mild for this tie of year. Janice
I love the colors on this rug they are very pretty. Good luck on pulling loops.

There is just something special with a red horse. Think I’ve only hooked one red horse butI see another in my future. Great work.
That is a wonderful rug and beautiful wools.
I wait till after the holiday too, and since we host dinner, I like to keep the fall things out.

I hope you share your progress as you go on your rugs. I love seeing what you are doing.
Pearl and Earl is hooking along nicely! Love those flowers in the trees! We let the leaves "decorate" the yard for a month or so....then rake once. I'd love to be able to mulch them into the grass....but, hubby won't let me. I keep telling him "free fertilizer", but, he insists on bagging them..... ah well...
Great looking rug you are working on.
We had a lovely weekend, but now straight rain. It's bringing down all the beautiful leaves.

going back to the Halloween post - that little puggie girl is soooo adorable! I bet she was the star of the porch crowd that night. Your rug you showed looks great ! hope you get all your hooking done, I was hoping for another finish (hooking ) this year but I'm doubting that is going to happen. Also - loved seeing your Halloween vignettes and your samplers back there on the wall. Yes turkey day in a little over 2 weeks - we're going out ! YAY! Mel
That looks great! I like to see the texture and outline before background is in. Yes it was finally nice today and Jason showed up. Nicer yet!
Love the new start -- it's wonderful!
Hi Lauren, love that rug! Such a great design...Hugs Francine.
Lauren, did you know you're famous? My daughter & I took a rug hooking class at the NY Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY. I asked if anyone has seen the rugs by Lauren Fuqua on her site Rugs and Pugs. The teacher knew you and everyone was writing down your website & others already knew you!!
