Stewie (sp?) greeted us in the parking lot of The Little Shop Antiques and Gardens in Brookville, Ohio. He was very friendly, vocal and beautiful.
He is probably most happy it is Easter and not Thanksgiving 😁

As a teen and I'd visit my horse-riding girlfriend on their farm, they had a resident turkey that was mean! Mother would drive me there and he'd be waiting for me to get out of the car. So mother would get fairly close to the door and I'd run like crazy to get inside before he bit me.
Saundra’s story sounds like that turkey was a Watchdog Turkey. Stewie is very handsome. We have some wild ones roaming around here and they are well…. not very pretty

Oh I didn’t know you had stopped in to see Stuey!!! He’s quite magnificent but oh can he make a racket! He loved strutting around my vehicle & tormenting Bella & Sammi the last time I was there! I did hear Laura say he has been behaving better & staying home (he liked to visit the neighbors)! Great to see you & your bunch last weekend, sorry I wasn’t able to talk to you more!
I've never seen such a beautifully colored turkey! The ones we have here are all more browns, tans and such. Yes, their wattles and their feathers when strutting are beautiful, but nothing like Stuey's!
