Yesterday I had a play day with friend Laura. Usually my play day is a half day, but holy moly, yesterday I didn't get home until after 9pm.
Our first stop was at one of our favorite small shops with REAL antiques. Bill was holding a tin candle box for her. That came home with her. Nothing from his shop came home with me 😥
Our next stop was Seville Antiques, a true antique mall. They were having their spring open house in conjunction with the primitive shows happening yesterday and today. Once again noting screamed BUY ME and I left empty handed . . . most unusual.
On to a greenhouse recommended by shop owner Bill. It appeared to be Mennonite owned. Gorgeous, healthy plants and better prices than our local greenhouses. I bought a number of plants that I can hopefully get planted soon. There is still a risk of frost here in northern Ohio, but it is minimal.
Our next stop was the very high end antique show, Earlier Times. Of course if $$$$ was no object I could have filled the Rogue and then some. But alas, that's not the case. Laura did buy the sweetest little pie safe. Sorry I don't have a picture. Not a salesman sample size, but probably half the size of a normal pie safe. The dealer said it came from Texas. I'm sure Laura will find the perfect spot for it.
My frivolous purchase? Laura spotted it. A pug chocolate mold. Heck, I don't think I have ever seen a dog chocolate mold, let alone a pug. Isn't is just the sweetest?
I opted to stay home today instead of attending the other upscale antique show (1.5+ hours away) or to the Cluttered Coop, a monthly show at the vendor's home (1+ hours away). I really need to get the first of the mats hooked and bound by 1pm Monday. My hook better be smokin' 😁
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren
