Spring Fling throw down ~

Easter is quickly approaching.  I normally don't cook for Easter (OK by me) but I guess this is my year.  Why is time just passing so darn fast.  I know I say it all the time, but it is just scary.

Last evening we had torrential rains.  Occasionally I have a slight water issue in my basement, but yesterday was by far the worst.  I spent hours soaking up the water with towels.  With a fan blowing overnight, it was all dry, but with the continued rain, I am getting a bit more.  Oh the joys of home ownership 😠

Hop on over to Sue's blog to see the vendor booths and some of what the "northern" hookers were working on.

A few of the rugs from the throw down.

I love the way she whipped the rug!

The start of another giant Santa.

Not my style but gorgeous.

Absolutely loved the colors of this runner.

Isn't this fun?

Perfect for our nation's 250th birthday.  Saundra, didn't you hook part of this?

Not anything I would ever hook, but a stunning oriental.

So much talent in that group of hookers.  I will share more in my next post.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

Sure do love a good rug show and there were some talented works in there. Yes, I hooked the part with the boy in the middle pulling his pup. Polly has the entire pattern somewhere in one of her booklets but I didn't want to hook something that long.

Always amazes me the true talent of everyone who hooks. The scenes and objects everyone hooks. I do like that patriotic one and I also would not do an oriental. Janice

Does everyone in your part of the world hook with perfect little loops?? Such amazing talent. Sorry for the water in your basement...Don't ask me for tips in that department. :-(

Thanks for sharing all the beautiful rugs. Som great talents.
It's been raining and a little bit of water has found its way in my basement too but in no time the heat from the wood stove will dry the cement floor.
I'm looking forward to warm sunny days to go rake leaves off the lawn that I didn't had time to rake last fall.
Hugs,
Julia
