Please Take a Moment to Think About This ~

What happened in Uvalde, TX, is beyond comprehension.  Pure evil.  There are so many unanswered questions at this time.  My heart breaks for the families and the community.

This is not posted for a 2nd Amendment discussion.  Nor a gun discussion.  It is posted solely to cause people to think.  More must be done to protect our children.

This is incompressible to me, what happened in Texas. Those poor little children and teachers didn't have a chance to even enjoy the summer vacations. My heart is saddened. So many families are torn apart by this senseless act. I'm wondering about the poor grandmother... I haven't had time to listen to the news today to see how she is doing and the other wounded. It is sad beyond words. Prayers for all the people in this community. God help us all.

Where was the armed security officer at that school or wasn't there one? When my grandson was young and I needed to pick him up at school the staff knew me, the door was locked and someone would open it to let us in. There was also an armed young man who was the security. Not an overweight type security guard you see inside a locked gate at a warehouse but a person capable and ready. I was quite happy to see that gun and was not the slightest bit concerned or threatened.

In good hands they are a tool, in a sick minded person they are dangerous weapons.

"Gun Free Zone " a open invatation for the bad guys, they know no one will shoot back.

The pain those families are going through is beyond words. God help them.

You know me well enough to know my thoughts on this. You're right, it's not about "gun violence"...and those who reduce it to just that or use it as a political sword are almost as sick as the soulless animal who wreaked this carnage. ~et~

AR-15's are not used to defend any of the aforementioned folk; they need to be taken off the market. If you want to play with one, join the service!

I so agree. Too many school shootings. Those children were so innocent and I hope that shooter rots in Hell. Janice
