Life Can Get in the Way ~

I really thought I would be done with Madi's Favorite by now, but with good weather comes yard work.  I have a small yard . . . but mostly perennials . . . that have gotten totally out of control.  I have dug up many this year and passed them on to friends, and there are plenty more I could dig up.  I finally got the gardens edged . . . but we realize all too well that keeping up with the yard is a never ending task.  I don't plant annuals except in crocks, the old wheelbarrow, etc.  That was on my list for today . . . and mission accomplished.

Son and his girlfriend made it back from Florida without problem.  Duck duty is over 😁.  After just a few days, the grandducks would come running to me when I arrived.  The couple times I did not bring them tomatoes I think I heard them quack, "WTH???".

Here is my progress so far on Madi.

I hope all is well in your little corner of the world.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

Really need to wear my good glasses... I read that you only plant "animals" in crocks...a bit concerned there for a minute. LOL I think that your rug is fabulous! Lovely work. Isn't funny how you get attached to even the oddest pets? Every animal has a personality. Even if it's bad. LOL Have a great week!

You never cease to quack me up. So glad you got some quality bonding time in with the grand-ducks. Maddie's favorite is looking wonderful in my opinion. The dark background is really a strong anchoring element and changes the whole feel of it. I liked the earlier glimpses of it, but like it even better now. You have a gift. ~Robin~

I zoomed in on your lights. You incorporate creamy and gray lights so well. I can’t seem to be able to. I’ll never eat duck again after reading about your grand ducks.

Love the rug.

The rug looks great! With my projects sometimes I get to close--I am so critical and find sometimes I have to step back, put me in time out to see my progress is okay. I have a love/hate relationship with yard work. It is a never ending project! Pulling into the driveway and seeing blooming flowers and healthy plants lifts my spirits. My Mom once said, there will always be dirty dishes, dirty clothes and weeds to pull.

Your project is looking pristinely perfect as usual. Am so glad all duckies were accounted for when your son came home and you are off duck-duty.

You did a great job keeping those grand-ducks safe and well-fed. Your rug looks beautiful.
I've been spending a lot of time outdoors and yard work is never done.

Take care and enjoy every minute of life.

Hugs, Julia

Welcome to the club. I am deep in yard work as well. Only I am still establishing some of my beds. And forever moving things around, which has happened as our yard matured and produced more shade gardens than sun. Love how your rug is turning out.

Your comment on the ducks quacking “WTH” made me lol! They are so cute and I’m sure they were fun to watch. Love your rug! The colors are amazing!

The granddux want Grammie to come back (with tomatoes)! Grandmas were built to spoil grand-anythings. I shop for the grandcats and I take it seriously!
