Hydrangeas

The hydrangeas are drop dead gorgeous this year.  More flowers than I have ever had . . . and knock on wood, the da** deer have not destroyed them.  I am simply amazed.  Look at the difference  in color on one flower head!

This is on the same plant.

And so is this.

Two plants.

A few more pictures from around the yard.  Mind you, my yard is small but I have lots of perennials.

The baby bathtub is filling in nicely.  Thank you Miracle Gro.

Next post I promise to finally show something hooking related.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

your gardens and flowers are just stunning Lauren! Hydrangeas are my very favorite. All gone from my yard - several cold winters and they did not make it. I should plant more but my husband enjoys planting in containers around the pool deck so he can move when *IF* ever we have winter weather again. I feel the funk - I'm even having a hard time with my knitting on camp loopy this year and it's only the first challenge. In May I did Sampler MAYnia with friends and started 4 new samplers *crazy* well yes I resemble that ! take care of yourself -Mel

Love that purple stripe tunia. The SP vines really accent the color. Nice variety of plants, you must have good or amended soil!

Gorgeous hydrangeas. Mine are not blooming yet. I have spiderwort too. I love how the flowers opens up in the morning and then close in the afternoon. Janice

Gorgeous!! Your baby bath is incredible...It is going gangbusters!! And your hydrangeas melt my heart...they rank up there in my top 2 favorites....but I have never managed the blue. I know you need alkaline soil for the color, and have tried amending, but no luck. In any event, even my boring whites aren't yet blooming. Love your birdbath! ~Robin~

Your flowers are looking amazing. You have everything arranged so nicely in your yard. I'm finding that I have less bloom this year and I lost several of my bushes and roses partly to the last two floods and this drought. We are supposed to get thundershowers this afternoon. We desperately need a good downpour.

Looking forward to seeing what you are working on.

Your flowers are gorgeous! I hope the lady who is going to live here likes them. Mine were so pretty this year. The house I am moving to is a blank slate. Nothing is in the yard. I am glad too, I can grow what ever I want.
I love how green every thing is in your yard. We are so hot and dry this time of year.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Your gardens are beautiful, I would love to have full gardens like that. All I have are scraggly plantings, here and there.
