Another One Bites the Dust ~

Sadly Anne Bond's rug camp near the end of September has been cancelled.  I have a few small group rug hooking events this summer ~ groups of about 8, 14 and 18 ~ that I hope and pray are not going to cancelled.  I need normal in my life.  I am still in such a funk.  I thought by now I would have another hooked snowman finish to share.  Sadly, my progress is uber slow and I can't blame it on spending time cross stitching because that has been set aside in frustration.

Since a post needs at least a few pictures . . .

The clematis that once lived on my parents' farm.  I've had it for 20 years and it was at least that old when I got it.  It is simply beautiful every year.

I guess I've never been so up close and personal with a dragonfly.  I had no idea they had transparent wings.

Thanks to the Evening Stitcher, Denise, Vonda, Kay and Linda.  You are all no reply-comment bloggers so I could not respond to you personally.  Just know I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog and comment.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Having normal in our lives is a goal that may be a long time coming. Sorry another event was canceled.

You have such a nice variety of flowers. I didn't know clematis live that long.

That Clematis should be a reminder that hope springs eternal. This too shall pass.

Love your Blog and Pugies all the way from England.

Chin up!!

That’s so sad about the cancellation and at the end of September! I hope your small groups will be able to meet. I had no idea that clematis is a perennial. Yours is beau and very special. Chin up and know we are all in the same boat!

Aw lauren it is a strange year, I wonder if normal will ever be, I hope this isn’t normal from now on....I hear you spent time at Connie’s maybe that will help a bit to get the mojo back, I struggle at times too, I have piles.....I love your gardens all are beautiful......we have the same colored clematis, it’s been here since we bought the house 10 years I’m not sure how much more before that...it never seems to disappoint.....well we’re in for a rainy week here in Ohio ...urgh...I hope there is a light at the end of this tunnel, but I don’t think it will be for awhile...people just aren’t doing what we need to do......but then who am I to say, what are we suppose to do...lol....have a blessed day....
chin up!

Hugs

I have the same type of Clematis on my old dilapidated shed. It's a Jacmanni Clematis and mine also usually blooms profusely but it's not yet in bloom. I'm amazed that it has lived that long after being moved.

I like your picture of the visiting dragonfly.

I'm sorry that you're in a funk and that another rug hooking event has been canceled.
Nothing ever stays the same but I have a feeling it's not gonna get better soon.
Take care dear friend.
Hugs, Julia

I'm quite sure Cape May camp will be cancelled too but won't know until the middle of July. Who knows, maybe things will take a turn to the good and it will happen. Clemantis is gorgeous.

Good morning! Your clematis is gorgeous and I love the story. I have a few plants from the 1980's and they hold a special place in my heart.

I am so ready for something that is CLOSE to normal. LOL I love being retired, love being home, love my garden...but would like to see a few more people every now and then. LOL

Have a great day.

The clematis is beautiful, love the color. Do you have a trellis behind it? Think next year I'll get one and plant in my forest area for it to climb up the tree. Does it have to have fun sun all day?
All my quilting activities has also been cancelled. This I'm afraid isn't going to go away anytime soon. I saw online that Key West is requiring masks anywhere there is a "roof", so that is including all the Tiki Huts at the beach bars til 2021.

That is a beautiful Clematis. It is hard to be creative. I know its been hard to me. Just doing counted cross stitch is just hard.
I hope you do get your mojo back soon.

Awwww....sorry to read of another cancellation for you. Well, it wouldn't be a "camp" or remotely as fun, but you have an open invitation to come here and play anytime. Gorgeous clematis...and what a treasure given its history. I have a clematis out back that does well, but it is a very pale lavender... I originally planted (and have attempted "replanting" numerous times) a dark Jackmani like yours, but the Jackmani never comes back. Boo hoo. Hope you got some much needed rain...we are still very wet...and par for the course, it rained again today...and BRRRR! ~Robin~
