You'd think for all the time I'm spending at home, I'd be accomplishing miracles. Sadly, it's not happening and I am no more productive than normal. I am scared ~ not of catching the Coronavirus, but of what it is doing to our country. Ohio is about shut down. Even our city has closed for at least the remainder of the week. I pray that it does not get worse and that people heed the warning to "social distance" themselves to curb the spread.
I am working a bit daily on binding Antique Floral. I've also been stitching on a little applique piece. It is a kit by Buttermilk Basin that DF Wink purchased a number of years ago, thinking she was going to learn to applique while wintering in Arizona. She has been having too much fun to give it a try so gave the kit to me. It is perfect for Easter so I thought I'd better get busy on it. Good thing she did not try to learn using this kit. I got frustrated and almost gave up trying to applique the little beaks. They are just over 1/4" in size. The tulips are no easier . . . sigh. Oh, well. The hard parts are done.

It’s especially hard to see small businesses close because many will never reopen. Going for walks and doing puzzles is keeping us sane. And I could probably hook one rug a week at this rate.
I know how you feel, it is the way people are panicking and everything closing down.
I stay home anyways and have avoided going out with the other flus we had going around, but now the regular stores are so empty, I can shop with no contact. Your new project is wonderful and the stitching is fine, I am horrible with small pieces, yours is nice and neat.

It's pretty sad when the public library closes.It's a good thing they will mail your books to you.There is still no hand sanitizer in town and the stores are bare.This is worse than Hurricane Irma was.Stay safe.Love your applique.
We closed our antique store and told our workers to stay home. We cannot pay them when no one is visiting anymore. This really sucks and hope it is over soon. I was told to work from home now until whenever. We cannot visit our favorite restaurants or local stores either. People are hoarding everything. I like to shop weekly for groceries so my veggies are fresh. I may have to just grab what I can this weekend like everyone else. UGH. I hope this is not going to be our new normal. Your little applique looks really cute and Springlike. Cannot wait to see the finished piece! Janice
What a cute applique plus it is Easterly and a nice spring decoration. I should take this time to clean out cabinets, do a thorough cleaning of the house, windows, etc. I did vacuum the living room and dusted but alas I'm now sitting on my butt binding and hooking.
Everyday gets more doom & gloom ….we wanted to get together with very good friends , but had to cancel those plans ...have to skyp with my daughter to see our Grand kids, but I do go to my son's house to help with the 1 year old twins , they cheer me up ! This is just so bazar , I needed Kleenex & finally found some at Costco , but had to wait in a line just for those. When I can hook or punch it feels wonderful , but getting Spring cleaning done is a good idea to start on too …..Hope this doesn't last too much longer . Love your pretty Easter matt !
Such a sweet mat for Easter. I agree I worry for this country. I think when this passes it will not look the same. Our little main street most are closed. I am still working although today we just had a couple in. I have no idea what our agency is waiting for. I do think we are going to shelter in Place in NH as we have so many people not heeding the warnings. My daughter is upset that her friends are having dinner parties with several couples and kids in attendance. So thankful my daughter and husband get it!

My what fine, fine, stitches you do! Is everything you do perfect???? Holy moly. Some teeny tiny parts there. Yes, crazy, crazy, stuff. Can't even go out to dinner to celebrate your birthday.... I would pretty much be ok with this social distancing thing...but for the selfishness that the whole pandemic seems to be breeding. I really couldn't believe that I could not buy milk (at least my kind, in my size), eggs, bread or lettuce. When I couldn't get even those basics, I left knowing there was no hope for paper products and the like. ~Robin~
