Busy ~ Busy

Tomorrow I leave with hooker friend Melissa to meet up with Bobbie for two days of hooking fun at Sauder Village.  Today the low there is forecast to be -16* so I'm glad we aren't there at the moment.  Tomorrow it will be a balmy 2* for the high plus the winds there are always horrific.  I know other parts of the country are much colder :(  Thankfully the only time we need to leave the hotel is to go eat (or to shop at the antique mall).  I am taking the rug I started in Kris Miller's class back in October.  It has not seen the light of day since then.  Hopefully I have enough hooked that I can figure out what I am doing.

Several of you have commented that you noticed Cindy Lou Who was no longer in a diaper.  After her surgery, she was not allowed to wear one because it could add to the chance of her incision becoming infected.  They said it may take a while for her to realize she did not have the urge to urinate every couple minutes.  I was pleasantly surprised to find the urge was gone immediately.  We have had a couple "accidents" but for the most part she has done great.  The little stinker still won't drink plain water unless it is mixed in with her chicken and rice.  Can you say spoiled?

Isn't this just the sweetest little thing.  Many of you on Facebook may recognize the work of Primdollie Koch.  Talk about one talented woman.  I don't think there is anything she can't do.  Lucky me to receive this gift from her.

So many of us despise dislike binding.  (Right, Saundra?)  I did finish the binding on the little red heart mat and today it is on its way to its new home.  Binding has been started on the hit and miss mat plus I have 3 small and two large hearts to add a backing to.

Speaking of the large hearts, I am long overdue for a give-away.  I will be giving one of them away, choosing the winner next Tuesday.  Entering is simple.  Leave a comment on this post only or send me an email with give-away in the subject line.  The winner MUST contact me within 3 days.  Please no sharing on any social media.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Please be safe out there.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Thank you but do not enter, I would probably lose it during my downsize. Glad the pup is doing well. Hope you have a great weekend. Jealous that you will be visiting an antique mall!

Lucky you, a fun retreat and friends, sounds like fun.
Love how your rug is coming along, that is going to be beautiful and I am weird, I like to bind.
That being said, I have a few rugs to finish, lol.
That mouse is so cute, love it.
No need to enter me, I ran out of space, lol.

You’re so lucky to get to hook at Sauder Village more than once a year! I’m most happy about CLW, who is a sweetie. And I’d love to throw my name into the hat for a chance to win a ❤️!

RIGHT you are my friend! Am envious of your going to Sauder as I've never been. But won't envy you when you do leave and walk in the 2* temps. And with the wind chill will probably be colder. Great work on the horses and heart. Love your mousie from friend.

I'm wishing you a great time at Sauder. I know you will have a wonderful time. That little CLW is spoiled for sure.
I wonder if she was a beer drinker instead, lol... The little stinker.

That naked little cherub makes me feel cold. The cold blast is coming this way. 48 days to Spring.

Have a safe trip.
Hugs, Julia

Awwww....have a great time!!! (Somehow I know you will!!). I think I really, really, need a getaway like that....I am long overdue and the -50-60 windchills here are getting old, so I would opt for something a bit warmer. Can’t wait to see Sauder vicariously through your always awesome photo. LOVE the mouse on the block...too stinking adorable.... And Yay for CLW!!! She’s a big girl now! ;-). And, yeah....I think we had this discussion before....but I really do enjoy binding....so mindless and relaxing. Gee....I would have to COMPLETE something to actually have something to bind. Safe travels GT...will be thinking of you..... Robin

Cindy Lou is such a cutie pie. I love that rug you are working on. I love your hearts.
I think I will enter in your giveaway. Have a fun day hooking.

Hope you are enjoying your hooking get away.

Thanks for your give away - would love to win since I am not a hooker. Tried it but did not get into it. I am mainly a quilter and sometimes do cross stitch and work with wool.
