Yellow Bird is finally prepped for binding. She is trimmed, zig zagged (I don't have a serger) and finally steamed. Have a ever mentioned that I hate steaming as much as I hate binding? It is amazing how a steaming evens out the loops. She is being bound with wool using one of the wools used in the background. One of these days I hope to get a picture showing her true colors!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

The colors may not be what you see in person, but must say she looks lovely as it is. Bet if you did hook a little during the day you'd catch up on those UFO's.
she looks wonderful Lauren!
I hate binding.

I think she and the whole rug are simply beautiful. Her plastic surgery is flawless….she must be pleased 😀. As Saundra wrote, the colors in your pictures look great so your piece must really be something in person. Congrats on your finish.
Yellow bird is awesome. I hate binding too. Dont mind steaming though. Janice
I love the rug!! Not a fan of binding but I enjoy steaming and seeing all my inconsistencies disappear.
Look who's back from the dead? I don't know if I will ever even halfway catch up but I'm going to try stepping back over to the "other side" again. The more I see Yellow Bird, the more I love her - in all of her manifestations of colors. I did not mind her "abscess" at all and thought it her ear. But we know Lauren can't do wonky so if you're happy, the world's happy. ;-) There is just something intriguing about this design to me...maybe it's the whole "yellow bird" thing and the yellow bird connection in the witch trials...and later in The Crucible. Again, so very glad J got such good news on his treatment. ~Robin~
I saw your home on Bridgett’s Primitive Passion YouTube channel. Your home is lovely! You have done a wonderful job!
