In 1919, President Woodrow Wilson declared November 11 Armistice Day. It marks the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month when the allied nations entered a cease-fire with Germany, bringing an unofficial end to World War I.
Please remember, freedom isn't free and never take our freedom for granted!!! Take a moment and thank a veteran today. May God bless our soldiers.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

Amen...God bless and keep our veterans and our country. (PS...I did not know that about the 11th...thanks for sharing that!). ~Robin~
Happy Veterans Day !
I thought I commented yesterday, but guess not. Sadly our veterans who have seen the atrocities of war who may have all their limbs still have scars which we cannot see. I hope they get the help they need too.
Bob and I had the radio on that day listening to the remembrance day celebrations from our Canadian friends. We were driving and I decided to keep the channel on. It was a nice tribute to their veterans. Janice
