Cathy's Class ~

I believe this is the fourth time I have had Cathy Stephan of Red Barn Rugs as a teacher.  Obviously I think she is a great teacher 😁

Here are some of the rugs that Cathy has hooked and brought along with her to class.

This antique reproduction is one that has been on my hooking bucket list for MANY years.

A technique I had not seen before.  A shirred edge.  Sure wish I was listening when she talked about how she did it.

Some of Cathy's yummy wools.

A sampling of the rugs being hooked in Cathy's class.

And a better view of the rug.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

I like every dang rug you showed, finished by Cathy and started by others. Cannot honestly pick a favorite because I want all of them, lol.

Well thanks for the show GT....There are a couple in there that I don't recall seeing. Hopefully I will forget about them by the next time I see her or I will think I want to do them. ;-) And, yes, she has some yummy wool.... You should see her studio room.... Gah! I have tried to take photos of it, but there's just too much to capture. ~Robin~

Wow some wonderful rugs!!! that rug you have on your list there is a pattern in one of my rug hooking books ( the rug hook book by thom Boswell). I went to UPS and had it enlarged to the size I wanted it is waiting in the closet to be transferred. I swear I will be 200 by the time I get these rugs done.

So love that antique version of the flower urn and flowers on each side. That would be on my bucket list too if I had one. LOL The snowman rug made me smile. I want to hook some winter mittens to sel right now...and do you think I can find one hook. GRRR Janice

Great hookings. I could fill a few bags with that gorgeous wool- and empty my account in the process

The rug raining cats and dogs is so creative! All of them are so interesting. The shirred edge is interesting. I wonder if there is a "YouTube" about it!

So many beautiful rugs, love seeing them all. I may hook again, so keeping my supplies for now, but for now, the animals just destroy them.

This is my teacher for the Historic Franklin Rug Hooking Retreat (Kris Miller/Spruce Ridge Studios) October 17-21. Am so excited--my first event in almost two years! Looking forward to learning and being with kindred spirits.
