I hope everyone is embracing the new year ~ not like we have a choice in the matter :)
I normally don't make a New Year's resolution, but last year I chose a word ~ PURGE. My goal was to purge one item daily. I started off pretty good for the first few months, and then it all went to hell in a handbasket. Oh, well. Maybe this year I can do a little better. Then again, maybe not. Was out antiquing the other day and found this sweet little wagon. Not sure what I will do with it, but it was 50% off and I love a bargain!
I am undecorating. Or is it dedecorating? I am so thankful things come down much more quickly than they go up. Then I have to redecorate. I'm my own worst enemy. I may never learn that less is more.
I have two year end finishes. Unlike a certain unnamed person over at Woodland Junction, I consider it a finish if the hooking or stitching is done :) Old Hearts is a pattern by The Old Tattered Flag. Started in a class with Caroline Twigg (Eagles Nest Woolens) in October, it is finally ready for the binding.
I don't cross stitch often, but when I do I really enjoy it. Friend Bobbie (the Evening Stitcher) inspired me. I found a piece of linen in my stash, lightly stained it and stitched away. Pattern is by Pineberry Lane. It looks a little wonky because the piece has not yet been pressed.
Poor Cindy Lou Who is not getting better. She's on day 8 of a 14 day med for a UTI and it is not working. She's off to another vet that Ohio Pug Rescue works with. I hope they can figure out what she needs. She is just the sweetest, most mellow girl ever. It will be interesting to hear if this vet also thinks she is a puggle or just very poorly bred ~ which is very common with puppy mills and backyard breeders. Please remember, adopt, don't shop.

So love Pineberry Lane patterns. I also love your heart rug. I am with you, I say it is finished once hooked. :-) I so need to purge.Maybe that should be my word for the year. Hope Cindy Lou Who gets better. Janice
I hope Cindy Lou feels better! I am on a get projects completed mode this year. I hope I follow thru lol!
Wonderful pieces and i love your wagon. I do love a bargain and it is hard when we see something new, or old that we have to have, lol. I am purging too, just too much and it gets overwhelming, I know I will be happier with less.

If I had collections like yours I would not want to downsize either. The wagon is adorable.
I started taking things down I hate to see it go in the dark of winter but it will be good to get back to normal or what ever that is
good luck with your little pug

Poor Baby Cindy Lou, I feel for her. Downsizing you say? With a bright red wagon on board? Like your hearts rug a lot.
That certain unnamed person, lol.
Hi Lauren,
That poor sweet baby!! Hope the vet can figure out the problem! We are taking down our Christmas decorations tomorrow and have really enjoyed them but need to reclaim my big table for creative projects!! Love that dear red wagon (who wouldn't?) and your rug is just wonderful, too! You know I LOVE HEARTS!
Hope your 2019 is full of wonderful blessings, my friend!!
Heart Hugs~

I hope she gets better soon. Poor girl. I always enjoy seeing your finishes. Purge is a great word. I need to practice it. :)
Have a wonderful day.
Oh, that poor little Cindy Lou. UTIs are so difficult to treat sometimes. I hope the vet can treat her successfully. She must be miserable.
Yay for you for finishing another rug. I still need to whip my little chairpad.
I can't believe I took all my Christmas stuff down and put away. I'm early this year.
My new intention is to stop buying stuff. My kids don't have the same taste as me so I don't want to burden them with too much excess when I die... Both my daughters have had to sort through their mothers and fathers in laws estate and it was overwhelming for them, the stuff they all had. It was the same when our Nicole passed away. So we all get too much stuff. I don't think we can't take it with us since I never saw a U-Haul hitch behind a hearse. lol...
Hugs, Julia
You are creating some cute treasures of your own. The hearts are mellow enough to look old.
Hope your little Cindy finds the relief she needs with the new vet.
Happy New Year.
I had to laugh about your purging and then purchasing the little wagon. I try hard to purge but when I see a bargain or that special piece of wool I'm sunk!Wish CL knew about all the good things coming her way in her life. Prayers for her.
