Finally ~

Christmas is put away.  Many, many trips to the attic.  Even though I have lights in the windows and many other electric lights on cupboards, the house looks so dark. I miss all the little white lights, but it feels good to be back to "normal".

This was so sweet.  I'm sure it meant nothing to Ernestine and Cindy Lou Who, but this was on the trip taking CLW to the meeting point on her way to Columbus for surgery.
I was contacted this evening by rescue and told Cindy's surgery went well.  She will be heading back north to me on Saturday.  What a relief.

I did a little swap with Rhonda over at Simply Quaint.  I thought I was only getting this sweet little cross stitch piece.

She also sent me this darling little Valentine pinkeep.  I got the better end of this swap :)  Thanks so much, Rhonda.

Fun socks from my BFF.

The binding of Old Hearts seems to be taking forever.  Instead of working on one of my class rugs, I thought I'd quickly hook some hearts and this little snowman face.  I also want to hook a few hearts with the hand torn strips and finish them "Betsy" style.  I have hooked so many . . . but have given them all away.

Thank you for all the sweet comments on my snowman.  It's what makes blogging worthwhile.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

I am glad the surgery went well.
Wonderful gifts and always wonderful to have gifts from friends to decorate with.
I got my Christmas down yesterday, had to spend all day and night, but it got done.
Now my house looks bare, I need to work on valentine and spring items for next year.

That is such good news about CLW's surgery. I hope the trip back home goes smoothly and speedy recovery to her...
We had a big snow storm. I hope that you were spared to make your traveling safer today.

Yay, you got Christmas put away. My house looks so bare at the moment but I'm almost done my whipping on my little chairpad, finally. That was a lovely swap.
Take care and keep warm. Hugs, Julia

Hello my dear sweet ET.... I do sincerely hope you were sitting down when you saw this comment posted LOL. Yes, it’s been forever...and when everyone seems to be giving up on blogging, I miss it more than ever..... Thinking about perhaps dipping my feet back in the water.... I’m not going to pretend to “catch up”...just hope to jump feet first into my old blog pals’ worlds and hope they forgive my missing “pieces”.... Looks like you have a new foster...Cindy Loo Who....glad to hear the surgery went well.... As for putting away Christmas, well...gee...that just might be part of the reason I am hanging out in Bloglad today...you know me...I will do ANYTHING to procrastinate that task. I am all lit up here still waiting, unfortunately, for the Spirit of Christmas to find me. (Yes, it was one of those holidays again. Thinking next year I may skip it completely..then there will be no heartbreak). Anywho.... Hope the week was good to you, and hope to see you “wading around” LOL. PS...love your precious snow gentleman!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
