Rug Reveal ~

Santa's Lamb is a punch needle pattern by Donna Munson (My Country Keepers on etsy).

I gifted the rug to dear friend Dolly (who had adopted my foster Eema years ago), so I can now share it with you.  With permission, I changed it to Santa's Pug.  I'm not sure why, but that little pug face gave me fits and I reworked it 4 times.  I'm still not thrilled with it, but I cried uncle.

I also was unsure how to hook the face and could not find wools to my liking in my stash.  Isn't that always the case?  No matter how much wool one has . . .
So . . .  I got expert help from Connie at Wool Yankers.  She picked the perfect wools.  I hooked the face but was failing miserably on the eyes, so she hooked them for me and she added the beauty line around the moustache.  Thank you, Connie.  I love the face!  I couldn't have done it without you :)

My last major pre-Christmas task is done.  I am NOT a baker, but I do bake pumpkin rolls.  Since my older son will be home for Christmas, pumpkin rolls are a must.  So funny because my younger son will not eat anything pumpkin.  Five rolls are now in the freezer.  A couple for eating and the rest for him to take home.

Friday is Winter Solstice and the days will begin to get longer.  I will gladly take a few more minutes of daylight each day.  Hard to believe it is almost Christmas.  I know, I say that about everything, but the days, weeks, months and years are flying by at record speed.  I am just thankful I am able to enjoy each and every day that I have.  I have much to be thankful for.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Your Santa pug rug turned out beautiful. You did a great job and your friend will be so pleased that you made this especially for you.
I don't know how you can put details in with such wide cuts. The pug looks like Emma. It will put joy in her heart...
Now I must whip and bind my chairpad. I can't wait for daylight to become longer. It gets dark so early.
Hugs, Julia

Yes Christmas is fast approaching. I made cookies today as we are hosting parties both Christmas Eve and Day. What a wonderful rug you gifted. Looks amazing. I am currently working on a few rug hooked mats for our Spring show. Love hooking this time of year. Janice

Your rug is darling and definitely a pug.

My shopping is done, still have a little wrapping and cooking to do but nothing stressful. Just drew out a nutcracker on linen that I want to do for my daughter, next years Christmas gift, not this year. LOL

Happy holidays to you and yours.

I reread my comment and I feel that I must correct my mistake. I'm sure your good friend will be so pleased that you made this especially for "her" lol... Maybe you'll have to make another for yourself was what I must have been thinking.
Hugs, Julia
