Wonky My Way ~

For all the naysayers who said I could not hook wonky, I say "HA!".  Look at this.  To me wonky is being irregular and things not being uniform.  My blocks are different sizes and not nice and even.  Maybe not your definition of wonky, but mine 😁

Snippets of other rugs of mine that I consider wonky.

This cracks me up.  This is looking out my living room window when I am heading upstairs.  It just reminds me so much of a dog tied in my neighbor's yard.  I think it was the light shining on Christmas decorations.  Decorations are gone but not this.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

OH OH, think that naysayer you're referring to is moi, lol. Okay, so will eat my words and apologize. You have done some wonky and even on a couple rugs made them look old. But you must admit it is a struggle for you since you are ...I'm struggling for words here, lol. Okay, got it now ~ you are too much of a perfectionist ~ uh ,not too much of...you are a perfectionist. ROBIN, help me, please. lol.

LMESBO ("Laugh My Ever Shrinking Butt Off).... (MD, I beg to differ but I am pretty sure it is me to whom she is referring.) How do I say this in English, GT??? You do Laurenwonky (not to be confused with jabberwocky...although, perhaps, related in a "wonky" way). Laurenwonky is defined as: "A brave and heartfelt attempt at making something look genuinely wonky, uneven, and imperfect but, due to latent OCD and annal-retentive tendencies, unable to actually be fully realized or achieved. Despite intentional lack of perfect symmetry and parallel evenness, the end result is still perfectly even loop heights, evenly spaced rows, and absolutely no squishy or imprecisely width-cut loops. See, for example, works done by one Ms. Lauren Fuqua from which the name is derived. It is an artform to which many other hookers aspire but rarely accomplish." ~et~ (Yep, that looks like a dog on a leash actually lifting its leg...)

Oh ok I will give you a little bit of wonky, but still so very perfect in my eyes. At first glance too, I thought that was a poor dog stuck out in the frigid cold. Glad I was wrong. I so feel for all those that the owners dont care about and even the wild birds and wild animals out there right now. It is negative 4 right now at 5:00am and I have to go to work. UGH Janice

Saundra & Robin's comments today are funny! Yes, that does look like a dog.
As to wild birds - it's sad that with bird flu going around, NOT feeding them is the best thing you can do for them.

Hello Lauren, thank you again for sending me an email. I appreciate it so much.
I love your hooking. That really must have been hard to do. I love all of your rugs. It does look like a dog in the snow. Thank you again.
