Gotcha Day ~

A day late, but yesterday was Ernestine's Gotcha Day.  Two years ago she was adopted by DSO and brings a smile to our lives daily.

Thank you for all your kind comments and emails on the motorcycle accident.  To those of you you are no reply bloggers, just know I appreciated your comments, too, but could not respond to you personally.  We are on the mend.  Still bruised and somewhat sore.  I have cancelled my upcoming trip to Franklin, TN.  I am so bummed about that but my head just doesn't feel good enough for a 500+ mile trip.  Hopefully friend Wink and I can head south in September.  We are still so thankful we were not injured worse.

Within seven hours of the accident, I was already contacted by an attorney.  Since then, we have gotten texts, phone calls and even a packet via snail mail.  The ambulance chasers, both attorney and medical, are out in full force.

Back to the rug show at Sauder.  Here are some of the rugs which will appear in Celebration 29.

So happy to see that Connie Bradley/Wool Yankers winter scene rug is going to be in Celebrations.

More Sauder pics another time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Some of those rugs are so amazing. So much creativity and details. I love those black and white ones. Thanks for sharing those pictures with us. I'm glad that you are starting to mend from the accident. I hope you all recuperate your losses.
Too bad about having to cancel your next outing but I'm sure you'll make up for it at another time.
Hugs, Julia

Glad you are doing ok, sometimes we don't always feel our injuries till days later.
Yes, they will be out there looking to make a buck, but I assume the insurance they have is covering your losses.

Happy Gotcha Day to Ernestine!!! Such a cutie pie!
Take your time with the healing...physically and mentally...takes awhile to recover from stuff like this...
I'm absolutely in awe of the talent that hooked these rugs! So much detail...thanks for sharing!

Such beautiful rugs!! I am so glad you are on the mend. I don't think I would really be ready to travel again either.
Sweet Earnestine. I love her sweet fact. So glad you got her.

I love Ernestine's little face, seriously, is there anything cuter than a Pug face? And those rugs!! The Frankenstein rug just blows my mind. And, I hate to sound like a crepe hanger (does anyone use that expression any more?) but, when I was 17 I was in a car accident, got a bad bump on the head. I was told it was a concussion but because I didn't pass out or get sick, I was ok. My dad took me to a lawyer, he sent me for tests, EEG's, catscans etc. No fun. I kept saying I was ok, let it go. One year after the accident, just as we were about to settle the case, I had my first seizure and broke my front teeth. More seizures followed & I've been on anti seizure meds since I was a teenager. Not all bumps on the head are equal & it wouldn't hurt to just hold off before signing that release, see a neurologist & make sure there isn't anything more serious. There's no going back once you sign that paper. Lawyers get a bad rap (yes, I have a law degree)but thank goodness my dad took me, thankfully he made sure I was ok because the expenses that resulted in that "bump" on the head were overwhelming and lifelong.

These rugs are just AMAZING and I am always blown away by the creative talent! I especially love the antique floral rug and the bird/peacock, that both have similar colors choices!! Thanks so much for sharing them and so happy to hear you are on the mend!!
