I finally made it to the new hooking group about an hour and a half from home. Sue had the idea of starting a new group and another hooker got the ball rolling.
Four members of the group (in addition to me) are participating in the heart hook-along that Saundra started. She will be updating you soon, I'm sure, but here is my progress so far. I still haven't decided how I will finish the heart on the right. I am getting close to a finish!!!
I took a little break to hook another Christmas tree, this one attached to an old cutting board. A gift for a friend.
Before heading to hooking, I stopped at a so-called antique and collectible flea market. I just cannot believe the junk people offer . . . but they must sell enough to make it worth their while. I did find this little putz sheep at a great price, so I was a happy camper.

I love the hooked tree and the idea of mounting it. That would be a fun idea to make a large one to hang on a wall.
You never fail to find the hidden gem. When I had opportunity to visit a flea market, my walking speed would increase with every row. The junk, the clutter, I can't take it!!! So I'm sure I missed many treasures.

How fun to start a new hooking group. I have yet to purchase or find a Putz sheep anywhere yet. Lucky you to find one. Love both the tree and your heart rug. The tree will be a wonderful gift for sure. Janice

So are you starting a group closer or is that the one you started. My guild is an hour plus and anything they have is so far away I don't bother.

I’m so glad you found a hooking group to join…I know you must be so bored. This will give you something to do. LMBO. You sure made good progress on the heart rug challenge! And, of course, I love the tree! The recipient will be tickled I’m more than certain. Yay on the sheep find. I have more than a healthy flock but I still can’t seem to resist them. Good thing I don’t get out much so don’t run into temptation.
Your challenge hooking project looks great ! Will be lots of fun hooking with friends . They keep you motivated and inspired ! I Love my Hooking friends and can't wait for the next time we get together ! The day goes by too fast though , we have such a good time !
