Here's what little hooking I have gotten accomplished in the last month or so. Pretty pathetic I might add!
I hooked 6 of what I call coneflowers. The pattern called for hot gluing them closed, but I thought the seam would be better sewn (a real pain!!!). I don't know why but every one ended up kind of pointy. I still need to gather sticks and add wool leaves. I think if I stuff them a bit with fiberfill the point won't be as noticeable. At least that is what I am hoping. Pattern by the Wooly Horse.
I haven't pulled a loop on my Santa in forever. I really don't have that much more to hook. I thought the black border was a bit harsh, but Sibyl Osicka, the queen of small cuts, said it was just fine. Not sure how much was done when last posted.
Harper photo bombing 💕
Last but not least, Proud Lion. Some progress made but I thought by now I would be finished. The best laid plans of mice and men . . . sigh.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Harper hugs 😊

Santa's beard doesn't look so overwhelmingly dark as I remember. Proud Lion is looking...well, might proud and I like him.
your coneflowers are perfect! can't wait to see them stuffed & with stems
...very cute! as is your puggle...I'm gearing up to hook a few chairpads for Christmas!
Ohhh I love those cone flowers!! I have never seen those before. You have projects like me I feel like I have them everywhere! My large rug, my flower basket rug, and I need to start something else for a rug school in November. I am stitching that Halloween sampler and of course I want to paint more. I am retired and do not have enough time!!!

OMG I love love love those coneflowers. Harper is such a sweetie. Your Santa and lion are looking good too. Janice
Every little bit helps. I like the coneflowers, they'll be so cute finished up.
LOVE the coneflowers...and, ahem...real coneflowers are actually pointy like that...so they're perfect! Santa is getting close to finish and looking awesome. I do like the black border. It makes everything else look richer. And Proud Lion is wonderful! That background is amazing. For not getting much done, you've hooked circles around me (not hard since 1 loop isn't hard to hook around, but still.) Sweet Harper - you sure you don't want to keep her??
Love your cone flowers & your Santa & Proud Lion !!! Cutie Harper !!!
Oh I love the cornflowers! Nina mentally adds them to her list of things to learn. I hope you link this post to Off the Wall Friday so the quilters can see how a real rugger doe it!
Lauren, I just found a proud lion that i hooked in 2014, which has the date hooked in, and can't believe how huge it is; I had purchased the pattern from Carol Weatherman i think. I still love the pattern. What is the size of your lion? Margaret
As always, no matter what you get done or not, its always so encouraging to see what you have been working on. I love seeing your work. Are you finished with your yard sales for a bit? Cleaning out I guess is a better way to say it.
I hope all is well.
My maternal grandmother and my husband's maternal grandmother were hookers. I have such fond memories of the circular rabbit amongst the flowers rug that graced my first bedroom. Wish that had gotten passed.I was impressed by your coneflowers. Such fun to have loose petals.
