Yesterday's hook in was great fun! Susanne does an excellent job of hosting it. A one woman hooker operation. Sales were okay for such a small hook in. Funny, though. Most everyone is a repeat attendee to various hook ins where I have vended, so many have purchased my silverplate items in the past. Thankfully I brought a little vintage cupboard, drawer, and a few lidded baskets. They made up the bulk of my sales. Any sales are better than none to help me support my habit 😁
At Crooked River guild the other day, we had a member sale. I got the deal of the decade on a Beeline floor frame. In the twenty years I have been hooking, I have tried a couple floor frames that just did not work out for me. I gave this one a "test hook" the other night, and I think this just may work. My Snapdragon lap frame works well (I have never gotten around to having DSO mount it to a floor frame) but for bigger rugs I just have trouble with all the excess linen on a lap frame.
If you have Netflix, watch Nonnas. What a delightful movie based on a true story! Toward the end of the movie in a group scene at the restaurant, look for the grey haired guy clapping behind the actor who has the lead roll. He is the real Joey the movie is based on. I just found it a wonderful, feel good movie.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

I am glad you did good vending at this hook-in. You know I still can't really use my floor frame. It could be my chair, but it always seems more work than getting to really hook with it. That sounds like a cute movie. I really liked seeing your table of lovely goodies. One of my goals, is to go to one of those things. Have a lovely Sunday.
I have already watched Nonnas and thought it was cute, never noticed the grey haired guy. What a steal for the frame, lucky you. Inquiring mind wants to know what patterns you still have for sale from your stash, I couldn’t tell from the photo.

I'm so glad to read that you had fun - and even lightened your load a bit and made a few $. Your setup looks great - perfect as to be expected from you LOL. (But what is MD talking about patterns for sale?? Did I miss something??) That Beeline frame looks wonderful!! You'll have to tell me how much you stole it for. I have a Needleworks floor frame and I mostly like it but it has an octogonal hooking area which I find a bit cumbersome. I think I'd much prefer rectangular. But it beats what I had before - just my old Puritan attached to a wood floor stand my neighbor made. 😳
So happy you had some good sales !!! Wish I could shop your pretty set up !!! Lots of neat things !!!
Friends have told me to watch that movie , but think it's too sweet for my hubby to watch .
Nice to get a rug hooking bargain ! Your stand will be great , my friends love theirs. Happy Hooking !!!
Glad vending was alright for you. We have not done a show in years now. I do miss the vendors though. We do not have Netflix but did hear about this movie. I bet it was a good one. Janice
I see lots of fun things on those tables. Congrats on your Beeline score. I liked Nonna's also. My mouth watered and my stomach growled throughout. I'm immersed in Clarkson's Farm on Prime right now and really enjoying it.
I've had a Needleworks stand (someone gave me) with a home made lap frame rigged on top. I scored a Needworks octagonal frame at my last hook in and finally have a real set up. I like the way it twirls but actually go back and forth tween it and my homemade lap frame. Thanks for sharing.
That whole table shown was all yours? Good stuff! The baskets at the end are like mine, yet I bought another one a few months ago at a vintage sort of glassware place.
