When Sue spent the night after the first day of our scrappy hooking class, she wanted to know why I had my Proud Lion wool in a cardboard banker's box and was not using one of my many vintage baskets. It was in the same box for the past eight years and had not seen the light of day since the day the class ended!
So Sue motivated me to move the wool to this big ole basket . . .
Thanks for the nudge, Sue. The baskets looks much better me thinks.
Saundra had asked for an update on Proud Lion. I had barely pulled any loops in the past month (but I did hook my pumpkin teapot, a couple cigar box tops, the sheep for the pie basket, and my scrappy horse in the interim), Here's what Proud Lion looked like a month ago . . .
. . . and here he is today.
A little progress in better than none 😁. Hopefully I will continue working on him until my next class mid July, though I have been kicking a little project around in my head.
Stay cool everyone.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

Proud Lion is looking good. I love the flower colors too! I utilize crocks and baskets for storing wool and fabric and patterns I have drawn out. They make perfect hiding places. Glad Sue gave you the nudge to use yours. Janice
Don't ever call me "Little Miss Organization" again... Your picnic baskets were exactly what I was talking about. Hrmph... I do love your Proud Lion...really, has it been that long??? I know I asked before but don't think you answered...haven't you hooked a lion before??? For some reason I remember one with a real scraggly mane??
Love the colors used in the flowers! oy am I proud of you and your progress on Proud Lion.
LOL I love the way you all keep each other motivated. The good natured kidding is a breath of fresh air. Loving the lion and as others have said the flowers are especially pretty.
PL is looking good. I like that style of hooking but I haven't been able to do it. The flower looks so good. Isn't if funny how we (well he & I anyway) have pretty & functional containers and then keep them empty. Storing empty space LOL.
I keep all of my wool in various baskets. I had never thought about it until you said something. I just did because I can grab them and move room to room. I love your baskets though. You did so many projects! I do like that lion. Its going to be so awesome. I hope you have a lovely week.
I have lots of nice old picnic baskets stacked up , holding pretty wools ....but also lots of zip lock bags filled in other baskets .....LOL Then a closet filled with clear plastic tubs !!! But I need more wool !!!!
It is so HOT here .....I walked this morning and came home dripping wet . Then went to Costco , was a Mad House there and even hard to find a parking spot !
Finally time to sit and hook another scrappy Cmas tree !
Hells bells, the email I just sent you came back as "permanent error".
Got it and tried to respond via your email but it bounced too. Will see if Outlook needs and update.
You know I love those baskets. Hope J is doing well.
