Can it possibly be the last week of August? Time is passing so quickly it is scary 😁
The antique sale went well. I was happy with the final tally. Customers were pretty sparse but most of them bought. I sold about half the total $$ in presale. Still lots of stuff to pack away. The two big items I REALLY wanted to sell did not go. I bought this double school desk over 35 years ago thinking I could find a spot for it, but never did.
This dough box is poplar, Canadian origin, and HUGE compared to its American counterparts. In my previous home it was used as a decorative kitchen island and in this house behind the sofa.
I really need to get them listed on Marketplace. I just want them out of here!!!
Now I need to get ready for the two hook ins this September and consignment items for a rug camp (I am not attending). Plus a hooking class with Kris Miller and another with Maria Barton. I really am my own worst enemy!
I will post more Sauder rugs in my next post!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

Glad the sale went well. I have an old school desk like that - same thing, thought I'd find a place for it and all these years later still haven't so it languishes in the basement of good intentions. I love that dough box and have always wanted one. Good thing you don't live closer and it's not shippable LOL. It would be something else I don't have room for...and my basement is pretty full. Can't believe everything you have going on...yikes, I can't even get my act together enough to get a dress and shoes. ~Robin~
I have a single school desk like that and couldn’t handle the double. So happy for your new pocket money and good luck with marketplace listing.
I am not good with sales but I have a lot of items I want to get rid of, so need to find the right audience. Enjoyed seeing the rug show, my favorite is the bear.
Sadly our last few years of doing prim shows furniture did not always sell for us either. We always sold lots of smalls. Nice pieces though. Yes August is almost over and boy is it hot now here. Janice
