Hit 'n Miss Fini ~

I know it's not just Ohio that is waterlogged.  I was to go on my first ever motorcycle trip this past week.  DSO and I, along with my son and grandson were planning a trip to Niagara Falls, about a 250 miles.  We were going to take the scenic route along the lake.  Our rain date was this week.  That trip, too, has been I cancelled.  There is just too much rain in the forecast.  But as I've stated before, for me it is just an inconvenience.  My livelihood does not depend on it.

My so sweet baby bathtub fell over in my waterlogged flower bed.  No real damage done, but all the plants had to be moved back in place and some dirt added.  Several people asked what the yellow flowers are.  They are a medium sized petunia that I purchased at Walmart.  How ironic.  I was showing a neighbor who brought me a climbing rose bush (how very sweet of her!!!) my bathtub planter and she said she had one in her garage that was left in her attic when she purchased her house and even the antique shop did not want it.  It was mine for the taking :)  Well, how could I say no to that?  I've already had a friend threaten to steal mine.  It is currently sitting in the driveway by the garage.  DSO made some little wooden feet so hopefully it will not fall over again when it is put back in the garden.

I've finished my fun little hit 'n miss mat.  All it needs is a final steaming and a label.  As predicted, it did not make the slightest dent in the worm farm.  The finished size ended up being about 13 1/2" x 22".

It's been forever since I've had a give-away, so if you'd like a chance to win this little mat, leave a comment on this post or drop me an email with give-away in the subject line.  My only real "rule" is that you need to contact me within three days or I will choose another.  Please, no sharing on any social media.  I will choose a winner in a week or so :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Would love a chance to win your mat Lauren. The wind over the weekend pushed the water inland here and roads by the canals were impassable. Not fun. Janice

We certainly are getting the rain here in Ohio. Makes pulling the weeds a little easier tho. Too wet to mow, getting black ants in the house, chipmunks keep tipping over my planters while digging in them, yep been a weird Spring.

Now you have two cute, unique planters.

Wow! So you were gifted an antique baby bath? Hope to see it in a future post. Too bad I have no where to search for one. Now about that rain. We were seriously dumped on again, and lots of damage from possible tornadoes in Brookfield Ohio, not far from us. More to come!

Really nice giveaway Lauren, wonderful piece! But since I am removing, not adding, please don't include me.

Sorry you missed your trip...twice! It sounded like a nice route.
I've only hooked one geometric pattern like this. I recall that it was difficult to keep the hooked rows to fit perfectly even though it was drawn squarely. What looked simple wasn't so simple after all!

Lauren, your mat is sweet and I’d love a chance to win.
My folks in NC are suffering from lack of rain so send it
down!

Wow, I didn't realize you were so close to Niagara Falls! It always staggers me to know that part of New York is so far west. lol! So fun about another baby bathtub! Hopefully the new feet on the stand will keep the first one from falling again. Love the finished rug! Of course I'd love to win the rug! I just hope I remember to check your blog for the winning entry! :D You're so sweet with your giveaways!

Still laughing at what Lee Morrison said.... she's right.
Well of course you can add my name to your delightful GIVEAWAY. Your hooking is impeccable and always great to display something a friend made.
Maybe this weekend will be rain free so you can still take that 'road trip'.

I love your Noah's cartoon. I'm sorry about the baby bathtub falling over and your canceled motorcycle trip.
I hope that the rain stops long enough for you to go on that trip.
What a lovely neighbor for giving you a climbing rose and letting you have that baby tub. Maybe she would have loved that sweet little mat.
Take care, Hugs, Julia☀️

Hi Lauren,
I laughed at your cartoon, but I'm sure the rain is not too funny for you!! When we lived in WA, it actually rained 40 straight days, so can feel your pain!! Wish we could send you sunshine and heat for your rain in an even exchange! Hope you get to go on your trip sometime later, too!!
So sorry to hear about your little bathtub tumble, but how very cool to actually get another one!!! Hooray for you!!!
Your hit and miss is just wonderful and looks perfect with stone fruit!!!
Take care and have a great week, my friend!
Heart Hugs~

Well, I best be finishing up the ark so I can paddle on over and take one of those bathtubs off your hands LOL. They just aren’t to be had in these parts. I love, love, love your hit n’ miss mat! Your hooking is just so precise it amazes me. Hopefully I am not too late to throw my name in the proverbial hat. Raining here again too...but they say we might get to 80 this week. Pinch me...I think I might be dreaming! ~ET~

The rug/mat is wonderful, I would love to see it on my table. Here in Indiana we are also in the rain belt. I enjoy not having to water my flowers very often, one good thing.
