Just a quick post to wish you all a happy and safe New Year's Eve. I will spend the evening doing what I love most. Hooking, watching a movie, sipping a little wine and being with my DSO and the two fur kids.
This was a quick hook. It measures about 13" x 13" and was hooked mostly in an 8 1/2 cut. Next month I will learn how to add a braided edge when the Hidden Hills Hookers meet.
I opted not to hook the pine bough and considered hooking holly, but didn't. Me thinks he looks a little blah. Maybe I will make a smaller version of this woollie pine bough or use a few sprigs of artificial greens. I think I'll wait until after the braided edge is added to decide.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

He's sweet and simple. Love him. Happy New Year sweet friend. I hope 2016 brings you all you wish for
Oh but I love those swirls in the dark sky!!!!!! And the addition of the greenery in his cap is perfect. Happy New Year and hope sometime in 2016 life gets a little more peaceful with more time to hook and Cape May rug camp.

That was a fast hooking job Lauren. Your snowman is just adorable .
I'll be doing much the same as you and everybody else. Instead of hooking I separated some wool worm so I can finish hooking my neglected rug...
My company went home to Ottawa today and the house is dead quiet.
It's been a great year of following your blog and I thank you for your continued support and comments. I appreciate you sense of humour and always get a good laugh at some of your special posts.
Now I'm ready for that glass of red wine.
Happy New Year dear friend.
Hugs,
JB

Hope you're having a wonderful evening! I think the braided border will look great!!
Happy New Year!! xo :)
He is so cute, love the way he came out. I finished mine today, so need to steam it a bit to see if I can fluff up the roving yarn, then decide if I need to fix anything and a border, might try a braid on this one.
Happy New Year and blessings to you and the family.
