Yesterday it rained all day. Had it been a few degrees colder, we would have been butt-deep in snow. Well, the temperature dropped overnight and we woke up to a new winter wonderland. I must admit it was a beautiful snow, but enough already.
I have several belated thank yous. I am embarrassed it has taken me so long to show you these wonderful treasures. Fellow bloggers are THE BEST.
After showing my small collection of salt glazed Santas over the holidays, Tiff from Folded Gingham sent me these. She says she no longer displays them and thought I might like them. Like them? I love them! They are all from Salmon Falls Stoneware. Aren't they just wonderful?
Dear Saundra from Woodland Junction gifted me with this Hearts and Swags pattern, an antique adaptation, which I've finally gotten transferred to linen. I will start it this week at the Sauder Village hook-in. It's been way too long since a rug has been on my frame. And speaking of Saundra, if you haven't seen her post today, there is a free pattern that the Woolwrights Hooking Guild has offered for a Chicken Challenge. Who doesn't love a free pattern?
Last, but certainly not least, is this BEAUTIFUL wall pocket I received from dear friend Melinda of Merry Wind Farm. Her stitching is perfection along with her sewing skills. Though the top looks like tapestry fabric, it is also cross stitched. I am truly blessed to call her friend and I have had the good fortune of meeting her twice.
I currently have it displayed on my favorite hanging cupboard.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

Weather men and groundhogs? I don't think one knows much more than the other in predicting weather. I really like the Santa's and your hanging cupboard is to die for!!
What beautiful gifts! We are supposed to get a lot of snow this week. Not looking forward to it!
Wonderful chalkware and next Christmas you'll have quite a collection. Melinda's hand work is mind boggling. Looks far too intense for this old hands, plus I don't have the patience.....I want it NOW and that is a lot of little needlework. Beautiful of course, but tedius.
Don't forget to show us your work after Sauder. I know you will have fun there.
Saundra

Wonderful goodies! That hearts pattern is one I've been meaning to hook too! Best get away from this computer and get hooking! lol! We went from 55 degrees and sunny eysterday to 32 degreees and 8" of snow today... you're right! Enough is enough... I spend too much of my hooking time clearing away the snow... lol!
What lovely gifts! Yes, blogging friends are the very best. I am so sorry about the snow. I was watching the snow storms that are just coming to you one after another. So much snow.
I am glad you have a new rug on your frame. There is always something so nice about getting to start a new rug.
I hope you have a nice week.
Holy Cr*p that's a lot of stitching!!! (I'm talking that amazing little pocket!!) Wowsers.... Hmmm....me thinks you can leave it right where it is when you send that cabinet to me. I've been looking for one like that for half of forever.... ;o) We had something like -31 this morning (I really try not to pay attention anymore).....Rain is a long, long, way off for us. And I guess that's a good thing or we'd be flooded big time with the snow we have...... Stay safe and have fun hooking!! (Another hooking adventure....really?) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
Your wall pocket is gorgeous! It looks perfect hanging from your wonderful cupboard...I spy lots of goodies in there!

Hi, Lauren,
Love the santas, what a great collection you have! I have to brag...OUR groundhog predicted spring, but since there in another storm predicted for tonight, I am not getting too excited. I hope the roads are clear for your hook-in. The rug pattern you received...I hooked that from a pattern from Maria...beautiful! I printed out that chicken rug pattern also, and am waiting for Evan to bring it down from his printer (have been waiting two days).
Stay warm and safe,
Melinda
