Two Left Feet ~

Somewhere out there are two left feet.  A couple weeks ago at an antique show, I bought what I thought was a pair of button shoes.  It ends up that I have two right shoes :)  Sweet nonetheless.

I also bought brown ones, and they really are a pair.

The samplers in the background are reproductions stitched in 1986 and 1988.  {I must have been been like the pioneer girls stitching them in my preteens . . . lol.}

Tomorrow is my all time favorite antique show in Milan, Ohio, birthplace of Thomas Alva Edison.  A high quality show held in the town square and there is no admission.  I hope I don't find too many treasures I can't live without.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Those shoes are cute! Love the samplers too! I grew up in Edison, NJ and there is an Edison Museum there (well... Menlo Park) though I haven't ever went to see what's in there. Enjoy tomorrow's antique show! There's always room for more! ;-)

Oh that's too bad Lauren. The two right shoes couldn't look that off if they fooled you. Maybe the person who wore those had two right feet.
Seriously, were they paired together like that?

It would be something if you could fine the other two left. Maybe check with the people who had the antique show. They may be waiting for you to come back.

Good luck at the Antique Show tomorrow.
Have a great weekend.

Like the little shoes even if they are two right ones. Wish I lived close enough to go to the antique show! Can't wait to see what you get!

Hi, Lauren, The shoes are just too sweet! I wonder how the two right feet happened, it seems like it must have been a long time ago, who would have two matching pairs today to accidentally mix them up?
Neat samplers that you made on the wall...enjoy the antique show tomorrow...I'm envious!
Hugs,
Melinda

I love the shoes, right or left or both, they are amazing. Do you know that is the first time in my life I have seen them in real life, not a drawing. I am amazed and that button hook makes more sense to me.
Have a wonderful time. I would love to go to something like that someday.

I think that makes a very interesting story to have the same shoe for the same foot. I bet no one would even catch that unless you pointed it out.

Well I finally checked blogs and it's Sunday night so there is no sense asking where the antique show is!

Love, love the shoes and quite funny because I bought a pair on Saturday here in Germany. Great minds think alike! But I may be able to shed some light on the 2 non matching shoes because people used to "bury" a shoe when constructing a home within a wall and as these homes are remodeled or torn down sometimes the shoe turns up. I have a couple of one shoe onlys that I display because I think it's such a great story.

Well, Lauren I should have remembered that you would go to Milan, not too far from you. I went up and let me tell you it is a long ride! But so worth it, beautiful all the way. And I got to meet Sandi Wise at her shop too. I now have started a new collection.....sweater dryer, have you ever seen some of hers? Wonderful, I'll probably never find another though. HMMM, preteen in the 80's ???? See you!
