Fall has arrived, by date and by the blanket on my bed. The electric blanket has been officially turned on :)

I have been busy hooking. I finished the hooking on another pumpkin with the hand torn strips.
I've also finished my sunflower ~ a pattern by Cathy G of Red House Wool Studio. I changed the pattern just a bit. Instead of the 1820 date on the left side, I added some . . . not sure what you call them. I don't think they are clamshells. Aren't those in corners? Anywho, I think I did more reverse hooking on this mat than I've ever done before. I didn't like the size of a couple of the leaves . . . changed those. I changed colors on some of the whatchamacallits. I changed the left margin. I really like the way it came out. So wish I could capture the true colors!
Thanks, Cathy, for such a fun pattern. I was hooking on this at last week's hook in and you would be amazed how many hookers were familiar with the pattern or planned on hooking it!

This guy has been watching us and taunting Annie while I sit and hook.

Speaking of Annie . . . I've said it before and I'll say it again (I'm beginning to sound like a broken record. Remember those?). How could you not love this face? She has been with me for a year now (and, no, I am not her furever mom!) and it is time for her to get adopted. I mean really!!! There was a possible application for her that I reviewed the other day. I'm not sure why, and even though they haven't met her, decided she was not the pug for them :(
She has only been sleeping in my bed for the last 12 months, and just discovered two day ago that she likes the pillows. Maybe she will stop crowding me during the night! I can only hope.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

Great looking pumpkin and sunflower! Still to warm here for an extra blanket :( Annie looks mighty comfy on those pillows!!!
Won't it break her heart to have to leave you after all this time?
I wanted to try some pumpkins, but I doubt I will get the time, maybe next year. I have a cat that was my sons, been 4 years now and she still lives here, lol.
Debbie
I just love that sunflower. Pumpkin too. You did a great job on the changes and I like it better without the date. Annie looks so comfy!
*****no...they are always called clam shells no matter where they are placed in a rug. your
accomplishments look great!
Great rugs! Love the colors in the pumpkin! Annie looks very "at home" already!
Robyn
love the sunflower! electric blanket? we still have the AC on. denise
Hello Lauren, oh loving that pumpkin so much, looks great with the hand ripped strips. So sweet that Annie, I would adopt her if I could, she would be my other furbaby. Blessings Francine.
Love the white pumpkin!!! Annie looks quite content where she is ;)

Poor Annie. At least she is loved by you. You say this is not her forever home, but she looks like she has settled in.
Great job with the 2 projects. I like your tweaks on the sunflower and love, love the hand torn pumpkins.
Love your sunflower and pumpkin rugs.... they are both very pretty!
I think Annie has found her furever home with you! She is SO cute and looks SO comfy on the pillow.... We just adopted a fostered shih-tzu...haven't received him yet, but we are just waiting for the call to go get him! We have one already and love her personality, so we are excited to have a brother for her!
Poor little Annie, she needs someone special to care and love her for who she is. Maybe if she had dental work she would be more adoptable, poor little girl. I feel for you too.
Your rugs are lovely and you've been very productive. I just started hooking a wee bit. I need better lighting.
Hugs for you and Annie.

I love that sunflower pattern. Yours looks so great. Poor Annie, she is such a cutie pie. She looks so comfortable sleeping on your pillow.
I hope you have a really nice week. Enjoy that electric blanket. How I wish it was me. I still have to run the air conditioning. :)
Nice job on the rug Lauren. I really love what you did with it. Oh poor Annie, she's so sweet. Maybe you should just keep her. Would that be possible? She's such a deer and obviously loves you. It's so sad when a really great pet can't find a forever home. That is how my Oni was, he was at the shelter for two months and no one would take him becuase he was a "black dog", they told me people don't want black dogs. Well he's a black lab, of course he's black and has the most beautiful face and disposition. We took him and it was an angel guiding us. He is absolutely delightful and I love him so dang much and he has bonded with me. We are closer than close. Now after all these years he is 13 already which doesn't make me happy. he's starting to have some issues with his age but his mind is sharp as a tack and he's still the most loving, delightful, loving little guy. It's really amazing how much love you can have for a dog. he's my boy and I hope and pray he keeps on going for a bit longer. Life will never be the same without him, but we have all grown richer in life for having him. He's my boy!!! xoxoxoxo Cyndi
LOL....I meant to say that Annie is such a dear......not deer as I typed!! Fingers go faster than mind.

Who needs an electric blanket when you have sweet Annie. Might it be possible for you to keep her? Love your rug Lauren...It is chilly here in Maine this evening, time to get the woodstove fired up...Greetings from Maine, Julie.
Ahhh, she's so darn cute and has so much personality in that face....surely her forever family is out there somewhere!
Look at that precious little face. You might not believe it yet, but Annie has adopted you. I think she found her furever home!!!!!!
Beautiful job on your rug :) I think Annie has already found her furever home :) She's just so darling! Winter is coming, you can't let your bed warmer go! Enjoy Your Day! ~My Best, Kimberly
I like the creative license you took on the sunflower mat, great job as usual. Yes, it is time for Annie to be adopted and she does have such a cute face.
Saundra
Have I told you I love your pumpkins? Yeah, I thought so... Great finish on the sunflower too...great tweaking...I'm not so good with that...I see something I like and try to "reproduce" it. My friend (the rug hooking guru) keeps telling me to change my ways...but yikes...that's hard for this ol' dog. Speaking of dogs....awww...Sweet Annie....gonna be a tough transition for her when you do find her her forever home...I do think she's adopted you....Smiles & Hugs (for Annie too....) ~ Robin
