Thank you for all your prayers, comments and emails. I'm sorry I did not have time to respond to each and every one of you personally.
Mom passed away peacefully Thursday evening with me holding her hand and her grandson Jason (my younger son) by her side.
Jason summed my Mom up perfectly. He said she was the best darned woman he ever met!
Rest in peace, Mom.
Love,
Lauren

Lauren, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom on Jan.2 and I had the privilege of holding her hand as she left. There are days when I want so very much to talk to her just one more time, but I know she is happy and in a better place, and not suffering anymore. I hope you can find peace and treasure the beautiful memories that you have with her.
Sandy
Dearest Lauren,
My deepest sympathy's and prayers go out to you and your family. I am so glad you were able to be with your Mom. I'm sure it contributed to a peaceful passing to have her family holding her hand. You will surely be in my thoughts in the coming days. Take comfort in sharing memories with your children of what a strong and beautiful person she was. Warm hugs. Cathy G

Thanks for sharing a little bit of your Mom w/all of us. I very much appreciated when you "took us" on a tour of sorts of the church that has closed/will be closing that was a part of your heritage. It's happening more and more frequently here in NJ. We tend to think all these people and places will always be here for us. Your Mom sounded special...and she was yours. Imagine the moment when she was released and touched the face of God. Magnificent.
Take care of yourself.
Kathleen
