It has been a do nothing kind of week. I have plenty I should be doing (cleaning!) but that's no fun so I have spent more time than usual hooking. I guess that's not a bad thing 😁
My hit and miss is coming along. I am 37.5% done. Each square is about 6" and it takes me almost an hour if I really just hook and don't do anything else. At this rate, I have at least another 25 hours of hooking, but I am getting REALLY bored with it. My goal is to hook one more row and take a bit of a break from it. I am using all worms and small bits of wool no bigger than about 3" wide. Sadly, I haven't even started to make a dent in the worm pile(s).
I only have background left on Dancing Bunnies and I do enjoy hooking background. This isn't a big rug so I should be done with that in a few days.
March is a big birthday month in my family. Son turned 40 (how did that happen???), grandson is turning 16 (holy hell!!!) and both my brother and I have birthdays.
Blogger is not playing nice again . . . gggrrrrr. On my last post 9 comments were left. Blogger notified me of only 2. This is the message Robin forwarded to me. Is anyone else having this issue or receiving this notification?
"Good moms can still say bad words". At least I hope I am a good mom 😏
Thanks so much for stopping by.

There are a few people who post comments on my blog but never reach my email box. Don't know why, and it is embarrassing because it is only proper to take the time to respond to them for visiting and commenting on our blog. Which means we need to monitor the comments on the blog as well, sadly.
You are making great progress on both projects and hit and miss really isn't all that easy I don't think and you're right that the worms just don't seem to reduce.
So how small IS the small dancing bunny piece? Probably bigger than the small piece I'm hooking.
I get that message from another blogger I follow. I hate blogger at times! Loving dancing bunnies! What will the background color be? A hit and miss rug that size would take me forever. Am using up the worms you gave me in my latest rug. Thanks again for sending them to me. Janice
my email has been acting funny too. Love your dancing bunnies and your hit or miss.
I would love to not clean or work I mostly work.

Your hit and miss is coming along well. I remember doing a hit and miss using every small leftover worm on a challenge rug. It was the easiest rug I hooked. I separated the colors and hooked colors that looked good beside the other.
Those dancing bunnies look like they're ready to dance right out of the rug. I love the colors.
Way back when, I used to get email notifications when someone commented on my blog, and then this feature was taken down by Blogger. I was disappointed but I never tried to remedy the situation. I usually just comment on blogs I follow and respond to my emails. Some blogs will leave a comment beside their follower's comments. On those blogs, I usually revisit to read their comments.
On occasions, I email my best blogging buddies but not on every post. That can be time-consuming and I don't always have time to spare. I have so many emails to respond to every day as is.
My spring cleaning has come to a standstill and Spring begins tomorrow!!! I now dread thinking about it.
Take care,
Hugs, Julia
I love doing hit and miss and fun way to use up scraps, I need to do that with my floss.
Wonderful colors and shades for the bunnies, love how it is coming out.

Do not give up on your hit or miss. You clearly have a good eye for making the end results beautiful. So, how about the old notion that was taught by the famous rug teacher/designer Mary Shepard Burton, as it was taught to her in the beginning. Simply take a kitchen timer and set it each day for q5 to 20 minutes...hook on your hit or miss." You then have the option of going ahead or leaving it until the next day. The original part was that the woman who had great influence on her hooking career was the wife of her minister. She told her that she began each day with a bit of quiet time on a project to set an even pace for the day. This has been told many times over the years...try it...before you know it the design will be hooked!!!
Good hooking and good luck!
Well holy heck...you have made amazing progress on the hit and miss....my jaw dropped when I saw that photo. Yeah...we all need breaks sometimes from projects....some of just forget (ahem...avoid?) picking them up again. And ahhh...I knew you were going to make me want to do the dancing bunnies!! Your color choices are the very best I swear. As you know, I also have the issue with no comment notification. It always happens with the same bloggers, and the number of those has increased over time and most recently. So annoying. (And I have also noticed that the option of checking the box that says "notify me of follow-up comments" has disappeared from many blogs who respond to the comments on their blogs. Also annoying. Let me be the first (or among the very first) to wish you the happiest of birthdays!!! A twin always knows you know... ~Robin~
Four birthdays in March! Wow! As to your Hit or Miss, plough through it, to get it done! Then you are free of it and it's done, ha ha. I think it's beautiful, and the blue stripes are just the perfect accent, but then I'm not the one hooking it!
Happy Birthday my friend. I love your new rugs. Keep it up.
Love that bunny rug. And the Hit or Miss is looking good, too. You have a bevy of March birthdays, our big month is April. Of course you are a good mom. Have a great weekend!!
Your Hit or Miss rug looks beautiful !!! And I Love the dancing Bunnies !!! I get more spam comments on my blog that are so annoying. Have A Very Happy Birthday !!!! Hope you are enjoying nice Spring weather !!!
I saw on a website that rug of dancing rabbits, and they wanted 250 dollars for it.
I thought of you. I hope you had a lovely birthday. I have three grandsons and my daughters March birthdays too. My daughter turns 40 this year too! Eek!!
I do love your hit and miss. I really need to do a rug like that to see if I could use up any worms. I don't think I will ever win that war though.
I hope you have a lovely new week. Spring has sprung here.
