A (very) Little Progress ~

Just wanted to pop in for a quick second!

I have been working on Proud Lion, but I sure haven't made much progress in the last week, but as I always say, a little progress is better than none.  I really need to figure out what color the lion's body is supposed to be.  Hopefully that is not wool I "borrowed" years ago.

I did another cross stitch on the rug linen.  I have a plan for this . . . well maybe . . . but executing said plan is another story!  (What appears to be brown yarn, is more of a barn red but I'm not in the mood to fight with my camera to get better color!)

I always say that once the 4th of July gets here, summer is half over.  Tell me it isn't so!!!!!!!!  We went from chilly and rainy to stinkin' hot and humid.  Today we got some much needed rain.  I am always amazed how quickly things dry out.  I'm sure the flowers are doing a little happy dance tonight.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

How quickly things dry out??? Not in Nod these days. :-( We've had a few days of nice, summery, weather and then another 7-10 days of drenching rains. Plants (or those that have managed to survive) in my planters are literally standing in water. Even today, we were finally to be rain-free (albeit "mostly cloudy") but what'd'ya know? It started raining just when I got home and had to unload my car (and, yep, I have a detached garage). Your little hooking progress is better than mine, which is zip. Love your newest stitch...You must be using the same "red" I am using on my latest one. It looks brown in some lights but then when I am tempted to rip it out the next morning, it looks red again. Can't wait to see your finish on it!

I just told Bob that last night...Summer is almost over. Its been quite a rainy Spring for us this year and more rain thus far for Summer, excluding those heat wave days. Love the colors in your lion rug. Also like the cross stitch on linen. The saying is perfect and I wish more folks were patriotic. Our country has gone to POT. Hearing about nude pride parades and rich folks worried their illegal nannies will be deported, or better yet they wont have anyone work for them. Seems like the rich want them here for slaves. Just pathetic. Anyway...cannot wait to see your finishes. Janice

I really like the alphabet font(?) you have been using for these x stitches.
As for the rain, cloudiness and jungle humidity YUK! If the sun ever does show up again I dread the numbers of bugs just waiting out there for us to return outdoors. There have been several birds swooping in and out of a patch of taller grass pout back. I assume they are enjoying a buggy breakfast

Your stitchery really is looking great and can't wait to see it put to use in your plans.
It is dry here too with a little rain that came Sunday night. Robin is having the monsoons which had invaded my space for several years in a row.

OH, and your Proud Lion flowers look great. That mild purple looks great. Think of it as grey with a little color, lol.

Nothing is drying out here if it is not rain and cold then it is humid and hot which i hate. It has been one awful weather month now lets see what July brings. The summer ticks by quickly that is for sure.
Happy 4th

Here we have barely started summer. The hottest days are ahead. It has been nice to wake up early and its light enough to get up. It must change really fast there. We always find that when we travel that way. I love your lion. Isn't that the pits when you find you have borrowed wool? I hope your rain is good rain. Not just that cloudy promise.
