Back to Reality :(

This is the third year I have attended the two day hook in at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio.  This year Bobbie (the Evening Stitcher), Melissa (my hooking partners in crime) and I went up on Thursday evening rather than leaving at the crack of dawn on Friday.  I am so happy we did since it gave me a bit more time to relax and boy did I need that.  This is a fun filled two days of nothing but lots of hooking and lots of eating.

A little throw down was held outside the hooking room.  The light streaming in the windows (I think they call that sunshine) washed out some of the colors.

This gorgeous rug is being hooked in a 3 cut.  I can't even begin to comprehend hooking with something that narrow.  If you enlarge the picture, you will see a red mark on the bottom just left of center.  The current hooker is finishing the rug that someone else started and the mark is where she began.  The transition is seamless.

This is the same rug that I started and will share with you in my next post.

To say there was much talent in that room is an understatement.  I will share more with you in my next post.

Guess what it did in northern Ohio again last night and today?  If you guessed white crap snow you are absolutely correct.  Enough already.  Even snow/winter lovers are complaining.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

  1. I am sooo glad you got away you have been working a lot. You are right there is a lot of talent there.
    snowing here right now.

  2. Beautiful rugs... glad you had a great time at the hook-in! Snowing here now.... and another big storm on the horizon...... Ugh.

  3. I'm so happy you got a few days of fun hooking. And I wish the snow would stop so your crabby phone callers would take a break

  4. Happy that you enjoyed the Sauder Village trip, Lauren...the rugs are fabulous. Thanks, again, for taking us with you through pictures!

That same white stuff fell here in Illinois, too....sigh.

    Hugs, Linda

  5. So glad you got a wee break of some kind.... And holy moly with the snow for you all already. I think we might be actually on an entire snowfree week....well, not counting "flurries" and dustings that don't warrant a shoveling.... Yee Haw!! (I'll probably pay for that "yee haw" shortly.....) And those are some wonderful rugs!! My talented neighbor down the road had a 3-day workshop and "throw-down" as well....I popped in to say hi....took quite a few photos to home and realized I had my camera on the wrong setting. GRRRRRRR.... Like my photos don't stink even when I have the correct settings!! Hope the snow lets up, the customers lighten up, and you have a wonderful new week.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
