Veterans' Day ~

"It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag."

If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you are reading this in English,
Please than a veteran.

God Bless our military,
past and present.

Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  1. Wow, Lauren, this is beautiful. You are quite the poet.
    Lots of food for thoughts.
I remember and thank our veteran on this Remembrance Day. They were brave and generous. We shall not forget.
    Hugs,
