A Few More Rugs ~

More rugs from the Ann Arbor hook-in.

This framed piece of the birds was hooked with such a fine cut ~ a two or three would be my guess.

Melissa and Bobbie hard (???) at work.

The vendor area was full of beautiful wools and LOTS of buyers!  These were taken later in the day when there was room to move around.

Poor Annie.  She's probably beginning to feel like Little Orphan Annie.  Another application came in that sounded perfect for her.  They were willing to take a pug mix, had a fenced yard, etc.  When I spoke with the woman and I mentioned that she was most probably a mix and had a bit of a snout, the conversation quickly ended.  She wanted a flat faced dog that looked like a pug.  She wouldn't listen that Annie looks a lot like a pug - just with a snout.  End of story . . . sigh.
Ohio Pug Rescue was set up at an adoptathon yesterday and I thought maybe it would be her lucky day.  I'm sad to say it was not, but she is welcome to stay with me until that perfect furever comes along!  She really was worn out at the end of the day.

The moon last night really was super!

Pug hugs :)

Lauren, I'm drooling over the vendors that were set up - all that wonderful wool!

I see my favorite flower in one of the finished hooked rugs - purple coneflowers - love 'em.

What beautiful rugs and shopping heaven at your hook in. Lucky you. I'm sorry that Annie didn't get a home, I think her face with the under bite is adorable!!

I so admire fine cut hooked rugs, they remind me of a beautiful water color painting. Those shown are amazing. My nitch remains with primitive hooking, my hook however, is collecting dust. Dear sweet Annie, there is a loving home just waiting to find her. It makes my heart feel good to know you will foster her until that home is found. Come for a visit anytime, I'll warm the rhubarb sauce. Hugs...

You must have been in hooker's heaven with all the beautiful rugs, wool and vendors. I'd be in debtor's prison by now if I'd been there.

Poor Annie will find a forever mom soon I hope.

Oh my goodness Lauren if I try rug hooking for 100 years I'll never be able to produce even one of those rugs...I am doing such simple designs.
I so envy all of you.
Thanks for sharing.

Love that little Annie! Such a sweet face. I think she needs to stay with you FOREVER....how can you let go of a cutie like her.

Oooh, what a mind boggling display of hooked rugs and wool. My Grandma Carrie Wheeler (Hawthorne, N.Y.) was a hooker and produced so many lovely pieces several of which I have happily inherited and cherish. I tried hooking but just do not seem to have the knack. So I will just enjoy those created by others.
Looks like it was a fun day.
I hope Annie will be given a loving and caring home very soon.

Much Peace to all,
Barb

Whoaa, Girlfriend....you're on a roll. First you have me singing those stupid songs in my head, and now you are making me feeling woefully inadequate in the hooking department. Perhaps that's why I shy away from hook-in's?? I LOVE that photo of the moon....Looks like it's out of a movie or something!! Poor, sweet, Annie....Ya know - I didn't even notice she had a "snout" till you mentioned it. (And I'm not actually sure I even notice it after you have mentioned it????) So much for my observation skills.....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
