Close . . .

But as the saying goes . . . no cigar.

I had high hopes of finishing Treetop Birds in Millersburg.  Hard to believe that I hooked for two days and did not finish it.  It should not take much longer 😁  I am to the point I just want to git 'er done!!!  I just have a little of the top and bottom border to finish.

Only took a couple pictures.  Lighting was terrible.  So sorry for the washed out pictures.

Ready for the final binding step.  (Guess who, Saundra.)

Hooked in the online values class with Katie Hartner.  I have heard from several it is well worth the money, but just a little rich for my blood.  Maybe one day . .

Vicki is always the overachiever!  Such a fast hooker.  She hooked this in less than 3 days . . . just didn't have the wool with her to hook the sunflower center.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Back to Reality ~

It took me until 11:00 pm Wednesday to finally get packed and I remembered everything I was to take.  Normally I'd say we have 12-14 people at the retreat.  This time there was only 6 of us, but a good time was had by all.

Check out the name of this rug.  Isn't it fun?  Lee made great progress.

She chose the perfect wool for Samson!

Vicki is super hooker.  She started and finished this . . . in record time . . . and then was working on finishing some hearts she had cross stitched.  I purchased this pattern last winter so hopefully she has inspired me to hook it.  Saundra also hooked this last year.

These rugs were all started in the Sally Kalin class in June.

Melissa's sheep . . .

Lynn's kitty . . .

Carole's houses . . .

Part of my time was spent working on more applique pumpkins, but I finally found made time to hook a bit on Love Birds, also started in Sally's class.

There is a very trendy shop downtown Millersburg.  I am no fashion maven.  Check these out.  I would not be caught dead in these (and I am sure they are outrageously expensive), but two of the hookers said their daughters would wear them.

For Saundra ~

I have deleted any mention of this teacher because the teacher is still having a meltdown (4 years later) over me having posted her picture.

Here are projects that were being worked on in class.

I bought this pattern at Cedar lakes rug camp.  This makes me want to hook it!

Two people were hooking the sheep rug . . . one with dark sheep and one with light.

These were the widest hand torn strips I had ever seen.  She said it did not bother her to pull them.  It would have just about killed me!  A proddy border was added.

Saundra . . . this is the Kris star technique you shared on your blog.  It worked out well on the rug.

If my memory serves me correctly, this was being hooked in a 6 cut.  She is a fast hooker!

Two others had to leave early so I did not get pictures of their projects . . . and they were hooking the same pattern.

Happy St. Pat's Day ~

So many wonderful rugs were being worked on in Millersburg.  A few completed and many in various stages of completion.  I know I missed a few . . . but I took more pictures than I usually do.  Sit back and enjoy the show.

Food for thought . . .

Millersburg Rugs ~

So many wonderful rugs were being worked on at the Millersburg retreat.  I took more pictures than normal, but still missed some of the rugs.

Show and tell . . . completed rugs that were brought and shared.

Stubbs' Runner ~ so long I had to take two pictures.

I have this reproduction pattern.  One day I need to think about hooking it 😁

This rug was completed at the retreat.  Beautiful colors!

And another retreat finish.

Some of the rugs being worked on ~

So much talent!!!
