Last summer I must have sold at least 6-7 wooden bowls. I loved them but they were just hidden in a cupboard. Am I sorry I sold them? Yes and no. I just have too much stuff and less is more, right? (Now that's funny!) That did not stop me from looking at them when I would see them out and about. I resisted . . . until yesterday. I just could not say no to the repairs on this one.
Hard to believe we now live in a throw away society.
And crocks? I needed another crock like I needed another hole in my head. Need I say more?
I also love old children's blocks and how could I resist for only $3.00?
I am finally getting a bit of yard work done. Went to the garden center today and bought some more annuals for my pots. Now to get them planted. Some days condo living sounds heavenly, but most of the time not so much. I would miss playing in the dirt.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

What a lovely bowl! I think I'll have to wait until the old children's blocks go out of fashion - they be pricy on the occasions I've found them. Or they are new for new prices. I could probably figure out a way to age them I guess - sander, hammer, file, bury in the soil, etc.
I think I could be quite happy in a condo as long as I had a patio I could put a few big pots or a raised bed or two. Right now I'm *so* over weeding and I've not really even started, and it's only June 1.
Oh yeah...that bowl and that crock would have followed me home as well. Great finds. I can't resist repairs like that. The ones on ironstone/stoneware especially intrigue me. Unfortunately, now even repairs are being are being reproduced. Love the snow eagle also. Not many of them to be found in Nod as there's no way they'd help keep the snow from sliding off LOL. Bet you're ahead of me planting wise even with a messed up wrist.
If you dont want that 2 gallon crock, I will gladly take it. A nice one. That bowl would have come home with me too. Bob and I worked all day in our front yard. Planted 5 shrubs, deadheaded plants that needed it and planted flowers. Tomorrow we tackle the back yard. Love what you did with those children's blocks. Janice
Nice finds. The massive bowl I got is a PITA because of its size but I would be sorry if I got rid of it. All the others are stacked and sitting on shelves. Why? Nurseries here have TONS of hanging baskets left, no price increase over last year and really gorgeous dense choices. Again, why? I am loaded with my bubblegum. Loaded. The 4" pots I get grow so very fast so I get massive baskets in short time for cheap! I do cut them back right from the start and that gets them going strong.
i understand the less is more thing...but I don't have the strength to practice it lol. Your new bowl is a beauty and I wonder what stories it could tell....
Wonderful bowl and crock. I haven't purchased many plants this year a few tomatoes and a basil. They are getting so expensive.
