Geez, I've been home from the hook in for nine days and still haven't shared a few more throw down rugs. I am always behind on everything . . . sigh.
Saundra just posted about patriotic rugs to celebrate our great nation's 250th birthday. You can see all the rugs she posted here. Here is another one I love from Cathy of Red Barn Rugs.
On my hooking bucket list. I even have it on linen ready to be started!
A very popular Michelle Palmer pattern.
A quilter/hooker's adaptation of a Gee's bend quilt.
Several hookers had taken a dip dyed geometric class from Jyl Robbins. I love seeing all the color variations.
This rug was simply amazing.
It was sculpted and had with embroidered ribbon from India as a border.
The scallops were pieces of wool that were stuffed.
There was much more talent I did not share. It is inspiring to be surrounded with such creativity.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

I thought those basket weave rugs were wonderful with the gradation of color. As much as I loved admiring them am sure I'd get bored hooking it so wouldn't even start. Enjoyed the rug show!
Wow! Some great rugs as always. Those basket-weave rugs are spell-binding but, ummm, no...could never, ever! And that last rug is just stunning. Usually when there are so many different techniques and such it gets busy...this one is just perfect. I'm glad you pointed out that the border was ribbon - my jaw initially dropped wondering how anyone had hooked that. And even the stuffed wool scallops look like they are hooked given the texture of the chosen wool.
Where to start? The fishing boat is delightful and gave me a chuckle. The rug with the salt glaze crocks is a charmer since I love crocks. Achieving the weave look on the geometric rugs is amazing. But boy oh boy Love Birds is just beautiful!! The different details used all get along so well. Thanks for sharing these.
A wonderful throw down...but my ultimate favorite by far is that Love Birds one. Just so much beauty and detail and at first I thought the embroidery was hooked...and I thought WOW how could someone go into that much detail. Even when you did the close up though, it still took my breath away. Janice
Oh my goodness, those are amazing rugs! I would love to see those in person. What interesting style. I am so glad you shared these today, they are so motivating.
