New Year's Day we woke up to 3-4" of snow. 'Tis the season 😛
I really don't make New Year's resolutions. I prefer to call them goals. My 2026 goal is to continue purging things I don't love or just can't use.

Let all my self inflicted insanity begin. I leave for rug camp in Florida on the 14th. Before then, I need to . . .
- un-decorate or is it de-decorate? These boxes were hauled down from the attic yesterday. It will take me days to pack everything up and haul it back up two flights of stairs. There are many more boxes to haul down.
- re-decorate the house
- enlarge my rug pattern and put it on linen
- choose wools for the rug. The more wool I take, the less I have to buy.
- making items for the camp store to help defray expenses related to camp
- In addition, I committed myself to hooking this Sunday, an hour and a half away and the following week another hooking day with friends, also an hour and a half away.
- a doctor appointment
- an oil change
- a haircut
- ??? and I'm sure there is more I haven't even thought about 😁
Wish me luck. Too bad I have to sleep.

And to think you've been hauling boxes since October with Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Glad it isn't me and you most surely will accomplish more if you eliminate those impulsive 'play dates' to antique shops.

You will certainly accomplish these tasks. I would need to get the boxes to a guest room, and take the second flight of stairs on another day! We were hammered with snow.
Today was the first day it didn't snow since last Sunday? But it will be a 1-day reprieve because another storm is moving in tomorrow/Sunday. I'm not going to even pretend that I will have Christmas put away before the end of January. I can't bring myself to start right now (12 days of Christmas aren't even over) and then I will be scrambling to try to get organized to go hooking at the lake in less than 2 weeks. Since I've not been there in months and months...and am not used to "entertaining" anymore anywhere, it will be a circus out of control. Maybe before Easter??????? LOL
Haha there is that problem of sleep. I know you will get it all done. How fun though all of that hooking. Then warmth of Florida. It sounds very nice. What kind of frame do you take with you? I am curious. Since I finished my challenge rug, I need to start a new one. I know what I want to do but just don't know if I want to do a big one this early in Jan. I love your goals.
