More from the Scrappy Class ~

Sue is way ahead of me in posting about our scrappy class so you can check more of it on her blog.

You can tell Jenny LOVES teaching!

A few before and after a walnut dye bath pictures!  Our overachievers 😁

Just an after.

Darn blogger would not let me put this picture under Jenny's.  I have never had that problem before.  ARGH!!!  Jenny was adamant we must label our rugs.  If my penmanship was better, I would make a label such as this!

A few more rugs in progress.

Jenny's sister Laurie travels with her and is her right hand hooker.  She also hooks amazing rugs.  This rug is HUGE and gorgeous.

I will share my rug finish soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

They are all great pieces of work. I'm still not done with my scrappy Shaker horse but at least my chicken rug is all hooked. So what's next on your agenda?

I know you all had a fun & informative class with Jenny & Laurie! I am proud of you for stepping out of your ‘straight-line” box & going “scrappy”!! All the rugs are great, it’s fun to hook with different textiles & learn new tricks!

That was very interesting. its so nice you got to go to that class. I am interested in how you apply that walnut stain. Could you do a post about that? I have often wanted to tone down a rug but I have been scared to try it on my own. Very nice rugs.

Jenny certainly looks fun - and, judging by her students' results, is, indeed, a very effective instructress. Seeing these, I must say I am even more proud of you managing to color outside your lines... There are some that look much less scrappy and were I to blindly pick out which of the rugs you hooked, I likely would have pointed to one of them. ;-) The walnut dyes are great, aren't they? I've never done a complete bath for a hooked project (although I have for stitched ones), I have aged certain parts of my rugs. I did a little on my stag but intend to do more to tone him down...once I find him again.
